ERASE INDIFFERENCE CHALLENGE

Erase Indifference Challenge by the Auschwitz Pledge Foundation, a global competition to find and support innovative projects fighting indifference towards discrimination. An innovation engine created to find and fund modern, imaginative, and measurable initiatives that will lead to concrete actions and ultimately the demise of indifference, the rise of empathy, and the acceptance and celebration of our differences.

ELIGIBILITY:

Erase Indifference Challenge initiative is directed to NGOs, startups, companies, public institutions, religious associations or informal groups (that have the support of an umbrella organization to take over the formal aspects of implementing a project) from all over the world.

However, there are certain groups of entities that we cannot admit into our Challenge. We cannot accept your application if you are: 

financed by or in any way related to political entities, 

implementing (or implemented in the past ) activities or projects that stand in opposition to the mission of the Auschwitz Pledge Foundation.

BENEFIT:

At least 3 innovative projects will win up to €30.000 grants along with mentors support.

CALL OPENS FOR NOMINATIONS TO GBIF GRADUATE RESEARCHERS AWARD

On behalf of its network of national Participants, the GBIF Secretariat is pleased to invite nominations for the 2024 Graduate Researchers Award. This annual programme aims to foster and recognize innovative research and discovery in biodiversity informatics by graduate students whose master’s and doctoral studies rely on GBIF-mediated data.

ELIGIBILITY:

Candidates must provide a support letter verifying their affiliation with a university graduate programme to be eligible for the award. In addition, candidates must be either citizens of a country participating in GBIF or students at an institution located in a GBIF participant country

Nominations can come from the GBIF delegation or node of either the candidate’s country of citizenship or the country of the candidate’s host institution.

BENEFIT:

The 2024 programme will provide a pair of €5,000 prizes recognizing the work of two early-career researchers—preferably, one master’s and one PhD candidate—who receive formal nominations from the heads of delegation or node managers of GBIF Participant countries
