UNIVERSITY OF KENT CHRISTINE AND IAN BOLT SCHOLARSHIP

The Christine and Ian Bolt Scholarships were set up in memory of Christine Bolt, Emeritus Professor of History at the University of Kent. Preference will be given to students and to candidates who have not had the opportunity to live or study for an extended period of time in the USA.

ELIGIBILITY:

Applicants must:

Hold an excellent bachelor’s (1st or 2.1), or Master’s degree (merit or distinction);

Hold an offer of a place, or be a currently registered student, for a full-time or part-time postgraduate research or taught degree at the University of Kent for the following academic year within one of the listed Academic Divisions:
Arts and Humanities;

Human and Social Sciences;

Kent Business School; or

Law, Society and Social Justice.

Have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and be able to explain their project clearly and without jargon to non-experts,

Convey their passion for their project to a wider audience and convince the panel of the project’s wider value

Act as ‘ambassador’ for both the University and their subject.

The successful applicants will be selected on the basis of academic excellence, achievements to date in their chosen field and their communication skills.

Candidates must be available for video interview, via Zoom, in June 2024, exact date to be confirmed.

MALMÖ UNIVERSITY MASTER’S SCHOLARSHIP

LOCATION: Sweden

Each year, Malmö University offers a limited number of scholarships to qualified master students from outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland who are required to pay tuition fees. These scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit, experience and motivation. The scholarship application round for the next academic year opens in April. 

ELIGIBILITY:

Students who have applied for an English-taught master’s programme and meet all of the following conditions are eligible to apply for the Malmö University Master’s Scholarship:

Applied in the first admissions round

Chose an English-taught master’s programme at Malmö University as their first choice on University Admissions (ranked as number 1 of 4)

Were admitted to their first choice programme

Required to pay tuition fees for university studies in Sweden

BENEFIT:

The scholarship cover partial or up to the full tuition fee but do not cover other expenses, such as living expenses.
