THE PRINCE ALBERTA II OF MONACO FOUNDATION ENVIRONMENTAL PHOTOGRAPHY AWARD

The Prince Alberta II of Monaco Foundation Environmental photography award is an annual contest that avails photographers of all nationalities to participate in the challenge. Photographers are invited to reflect on humanity’s relationship with nature, and interrelation between human health and planetary heal

ELIGIBILITY:

There are 5 categories for photographers to enter:

Polar Wonders
Ocean Worlds
Into the Forest
Humanity versus Nature
Change makers: Reasons for Hope

Images can be submitted that have previously won or been shortlisted in other photo awards.

The same image cannot be entered into more than one category.

The PA2F Environmental Photography Award is free-to-enter for all photographers.

The award is open to photographers of all nationalities who will be aged 18 or over on 5th November 2023.

Employees or agents of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, Photocrowd, their families or other persons connected with this promotion (excluding the sponsors) are not eligible to enter. Also, ineligible to enter are any persons benefiting (on the day of the submission of the photograph(s)) from the Foundation’s support, either directly or indirectly.

BENEFIT:

The title “Environmental Photographer of the Year 2024”

€5,000 grant

Invitation (including travel and accommodation) to visit the Amazon Research Station of the University of Ecuador, and to do a photo documentary in the field, in the heart of the Ecuadorian jungle

Invitation (including travel and accommodation) to the inauguration of the 2024 exhibition in the Principality of Monaco

Public relations support of the Foundation through its communication channels, including social media, press, and newsletter

COMMONWEALTH SECRETARY-GENERAL’S INNOVATION FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AWARDS

Application Deadline: 23:59 GMT on 15 October 2023. 

LOCATION: Kenya

Citizens and organisations from the 56 Commonwealth countries can now submit entries for the Secretary-General’s Innovation for Sustainable Development Awards to win prestigious titles and cash prizes. The awards recognise ground-breaking innovations from Commonwealth countries that contribute to one or more of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

ELIGIBILITY:

Women and young people, who are transforming their communities through innovative solutions, are especially encouraged to apply.

An independent jury will judge the entries and select 15 winners – three from each Commonwealth region – across five categories. Each category is structured around the five pillars of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development: People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace, and Partnership.

BENEFIT:

Each winner will receive a trophy, a certificate of recognition and a cash prize of £3,000 at an award ceremony, to be held during the inaugural Commonwealth Edition of Kenya Innovation Week 2023 in Nairobi on 27 November.
