HELLO TOMORROW GLOBAL CHALLENGE!

The Global Challenge is a renowned international startup competition organized by Hello Tomorrow since 2014. It is uniquely designed to address the needs of early-stage deep tech startups across all industries. 

The Challenge gives deep tech and science-based entrepreneurs around the globe a platform for their projects, providing opportunities for equity-free funding, global visibility and connections with key players in the deep tech ecosystem. To date, previous winners and finalists have already raised more than $3 billion in funding.

ELIGIBILITY:

Applications are entirely free and open until the September 22nd, 2024. 

They welcome startups that:

Are in the early-stage of development (from not yet incorporated startups up to series A or early commercialization stage)

Are based on a new technology, a scientific discovery or a complex engineering process.

Have a scientific validation of their claim, a proof of concept, a prototype, or are in the process of producing one.

Have a team of at least 2 people. 

Are not a subsidiary or spin-off of an existing company.

Foresee an economically viable application on the market within 15 years.

Have the potential to have a strong impact on the industry targeted, and on society or the environment in general.

BENEFIT:

Around 800 startups will be selected to receive the “Deep Tech Pioneer” global recognition and get exclusive access to: 

an international deep tech network to tap into opportunities for visibility, funding and connections

our Investor Day to engage in one-on-one meetings with 300+ top-tier VCs and CVCs 

our Global Summit to interact with sector-specific and invite-only industry leaders, investors, accelerators and fellow founders.

80 finalists (7 finalists per track and 7 for the Emerging Pioneers Prize) will be selected to pitch in front of a select audience of 400 people to compete for equity-free prize money:

€100K for the Grand Winner,

€25K for 2nd place and

€25K for the Emerging Pioneers Prize.

The 11 Track Winners will also receive in-kind prizes in the form of customized coaching sessions provided by our experts and personal introductions with relevant investors & potential partners and clients. 

Additional “Corporate Tracks” co-organized with our corporate partners will provide more pitching opportunities and customized prizes.

BILLBOARD ART COMPETITION ART MOVES

Artists are invited to prepare an artwork in response to this year’s competition theme: To become dependent or independent? To swim with or against the tide? The competition is a part of the 17th Festival of Art on Billboards Art Moves.

ELIGIBILITY:

The purpose of the Competition is to propagate and popularize billboard art and to encourage artists to create art engaged in the reality.

The Competition is open and all artists interested in billboard art are invited to take part, however, the Competition is particularly addressed to young artists, who are usually most eager to face new themes and untypical ways of art presentation. There is no entry fee.

The artists taking part in the Competition are invited to prepare an artwork (maximum three pieces), technique is up to you. The work is intended to be a creative response to this year’s Competition theme: To become dependent or independent? To swim with or against the tide?

Incorporation of the Competition theme in the work is not required and will not have any impact on the evaluation of the work by the jury. If some other slogan or phrase is used in the work, it should be expressed in either Polish or English language.

The format of the competition work should be 498 cm x 243 cm (196 inches x 95.7 inches) in a horizontal layout, 100 dpi, cmyk, tiff. In order to take part in the Competition, the artist has to send a completed entry form and attach a preview of the submitted work in the following format: 30 cm x 14,6 cm (11,8 inches x 5,7 inches) in a horizontal layout, 72 dpi, jpg. Each jpg file should be named with the artist’s first and last name. If more works are submitted, use numbers 1 to 3 in addition to the first and last name e.g. adam_smith_1, adam_smith_2, adam_smith_3.

BENEFIT:

From all the entries, the jury will select 6 most interesting works which will be printed and displayed on billboards in the city space during the Art Moves Festival in September 2024 in Torun, Poland. The best selected work will receive the Main Award in the amount of PLN 4000 (about EUR 918,00, USD 981,20). The winner will be obliged to pay a lump-sum tax on the award value.
