SBN NOURISH NIGERIA CHALLENGE: NUTRIPITCH

The Scaling Up Nutrition Business Network (SBN) is hosting the 2023 Edition of SBN’s Annual pitch competition in partnership with FATE Foundation. The project is a Business Model Research project and is part of a larger program grant of EUR80m focussed on six African countries (Benin, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, and Uganda)

ELIGIBILITY:

Must be a Nigerian citizen (male or female).

Must be between the ages of 25 and 50 as of January 2024.

Must be the Founder, Owner manager, or CEO of a growth-stage agribusiness. venture. (Only one applicant per business will be accepted).

Should have their Agribusiness focused on Nutrition and Innovation.

Should have a good business model that focuses on reaching low-income consumers.

Should have a unique/innovative marketing strategy.

Should have a minimum of three (3) full-time highly skilled staff in a managerial capacity (excluding part-time staff and low/semi-skilled staff).

Must have their Agribusiness venture registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and be currently operating and generating income.

Must be available to participate FULL-TIME in the one-week boot camp and ALL other activities required throughout the program.

CONTINENTAL REINSURANCE JOURNALISM AWARDS

The original and longest running award scheme of its kind, the 9th edition of the pan-African (Re)Insurance Journalism Awards is inviting entries from across the continent to be submitted in English, French or Arabic between November 14th, 2023 and February 15th, 2024. The awards are an extension of Continental Reinsurance’s continued commitment to the advancement of excellence in the industry. They pay tribute to an industry that has in countless cases helped individuals and businesses to recover from injury and loss.

ELIGIBILITY:

Entrants must be journalists based in any African country

Categories of Entry:

Best Re/Insurance Print Article- English

Best Re/Insurance Online Article- English

Best Re/Insurance Broadcast Article- English

Best Re/Insurance French Entry- Print, Broadcast or Online

Best Re/Insurance Arabic Entry- Print, Broadcast or Online

Only one entry can be entered for each category

Submission can be either a published article – print, online or broadcast (radio/television clip) in English, French or Arabic.

Include your name, media organisation, the publishing/broadcasting date, a brief profile together with details on your experience (50 – 100) and a photo.

The review period of the entries is 12 months leading up to the submission deadline date.

BENEFIT:

Award recipients are recognised at the Awards Ceremony to be held alongside an industry event and will receive a complimentary invitation to the event (health and government restrictions permitting). The cost of travel and hotel accommodation will be borne by Continental Re.

The names and photos of the award recipients and the awards that they have won will be published in Continental Re’s literature and online channels to celebrate the achievements of the award winners.

Recipients may use their award titles for their own professional development.
