UNIVERSITY OF OTAGO DOCTORAL SCHOLARSHIP

The University of Otago Doctoral Scholarship provides funding to support doctoral students studying at the University of Otago. The Scholarship is available to both domestic and international students.  Candidates for professional doctorates, as well as the PhD, are welcome to apply.

ELIGIBILITY:

Applicants must usually be seeking to obtain their first doctoral qualification

Selection is based predominantly on academic merit and the applicant’s potential for research.

BENEFIT:

Doctor of Philosophy – NZ$30,696 stipend per annum plus a domestic tuition fees waiver  for 36 months (excludes student services fee and insurance)   

Professional Doctorates (DClinDent, DMA, DBA, EDd) – NZ$30,696 stipend per annum plus a tuition fee waiver for up to 36 months capped at the domestic rate  (excludes student services fee and insurance).

THE BARTLETT PROMISE SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA MASTER’S SCHOLARSHIP

LOCATION: England

This scholarship is open to applicants who are nationals and residents of a Bartlett approved list of Sub-Saharan African countries who have admission to a Bartlett master’s course.

ELIGIBILITY:

Prospective students who are nationals of Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Democratic Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Republic of Congo, Cote D’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia (including Somaliland), South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Postgraduate taught master’s courses.

Up to four scholarships are available to students starting Bartlett Master’s programmes in September 2024

Those who are considering applying for the scholarship for 2024-25 are advised to review The Bartlett master’s courses by department and identify the course that they would be interested in studying.

Only when they have the offer of a place on a Bartlett master’s course, can candidates apply for The Bartlett Promise Sub-Saharan Africa Scholarship.

BENEFIT:

Full overseas tuition fees, an annual allowance of £16,008 to cover living and study expenses for the normal duration of the programme at UCL. In addition: a flight to/from the UK, UK Study Visa costs, English language assessment costs, health test costs and the NHS Immigration Health Supplement charge. All Promise scholars will also receive on-going academic and career support during their study.
