For the 2026/27 entry, they are offering 1 talented budding researcher the opportunity to join their thriving community of leading researchers within the School of Computer Science. This opportunity is open to all applicants. All candidates will be placed into the School of Computer Science Studentship Competition, and selection is based on academic merit.
ELIGIBILITY:
Applications are open to either International or UK Fee rated applicants.

Important: Please be aware that any expenses related to the relocation of international students to the UK (visa, Immigration Health Surcharge, flights, etc.) would be your responsibility and is not covered by this award
Other Conditions
Candidates who have previously been awarded a PhD or are currently registered on a PhD are excluded from applying. Those who were previously studying for a PhD but did not complete may be considered.
The award must be taken up by 1st February 2027.
Applicants must live within a reasonable distance of the University of Leeds while in receipt of this scholarship.
There is 1 funded place available. Please note that whilst you may be successful in securing an academic offer for any project linked to this funding opportunity, this does not mean that you have been successful in securing an offer of funding. Funding is awarded on a competitive basis

This is a highly competitive School of Computer Science Studentship, providing the award of full academic fees, together with a tax-free maintenance grant, at the standard UKRI rate of £21,805 per year for 3.5 years.
