EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN UNIVERSITY GRADUATE/POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMS SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Eastern Mediterranean University is pleased to offer its Graduate Program Scholarship Opportunities to both domestic and international students. Students who will enroll in their respective programs for the first time may apply for scholarship opportunities. The applications are made during the online program application. Applications are accepted from prospective students twice a year for the fall and spring semesters. 

ELIGIBILITY:

International and TR national PhD program candidates

Minimum requirement: 

To be graduated with a minimum 3.00 (out of 4.00) CGPA or equivalent from an undergraduate degree program

To be graduated between 2.75 – 2.99 CGPA out of 4.00 from an undergraduate degree program or equivalent and have relevant ALES score of 65 or higher (for Turkish citizens) or have minimum CGPA of 3.50 out of 4.00 or equivalent from a Graduate (Master’s) Program graduation.  

BENEFIT:

100 % or 50 % tuition fee scholarship opportunities are available for new students from Turkey and other international students in the PhD programs.

100 % and 50% tuition fee scholarships are available for new students from Turkey, and 50% tuition fee scholarships are available for other international students in the Master’s programs.

International master’s program candidates: The 50% scholarships for international students who will enroll in a master’s program will be announced after the acceptance decision is made for the program. This scholarship information will appear in the letter of acceptance for the program.

AIJC2024 – CALL FOR MASTERCLASS FELLOWSHIPS

Application Deadline: August 30, 2024

LOCATION: South Africa.

The African Investigative Journalism Conference (#AIJC2024), in partnership with SKUP,  the Association for Critical and Investigative Press in Norway, and Bellingcat, will host an intensive training course on the latest investigative journalism techniques, taking place over three days immediately preceding the annual AIJC conference scheduled for 30 October to 1 November 2024 at Wits University in Johannesburg, South Africa.

ELIGIBILITY:

Masterclass attendance fellowships will be granted to experienced investigative journalists and trainers from African countries, based on their track records and recent work as reflected in their application answers.

The masterclass on digital forensics, verification and OSINT tools, conducted by the Bellingcat team in English, will run from Sunday 27 October to Tuesday 29 October. Masterclass fellows will also be able to attend the AIJC conference and training sessions.

Successful applicants need valid passports and must arrange their own visas if required, and must be available to travel from 25/26 October to 1/2/3 November 2024.

Applications close on 30 August and successful applicants will be contacted before the end of August.
