UPPSALA UNIVERSITY GLOBAL SCHOLARSHIP

Scholarships are available each year for fee-paying international students applying for an international Master’s programme at Uppsala University. Please note that the scholarships are highly competitive

ELIGIBILITY:

You must be a citizen of a country outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland.

You must demonstrate academic talent and show interest in being in an educational environment.

You can only be awarded an Uppsala University Global Scholarship for a Master’s programme at Uppsala University chosen as first priority (the programme which you have ranked the highest of the four programmes you can choose at University Admissions).

You must have applied for the Master’s programme before the University Admissions deadline.

You must meet the entry requirements for the Master’s programme you applied for. The application fee and your complete supporting documents must be received by University Admissions before the deadline.

BENEFIT:

The scholarships will cover the full tuition fees for studies at Uppsala University. The scholarships do not cover living expenses.

In an effort to support and encourage exceptional talent, the LL.M. Office grants a number of partial tuition fee waivers each year to brilliant students who can demonstrate financial need. By providing financial assistance, the faculty aims to foster a diverse and inclusive learning environment in which these students can pursue their educational aspirations and contribute to the cultural and intellectual vibrancy of our institution.

Academic excellence: The candidate has a high standard of academic achievement from a well ranked university. Excellent academic results are reflected in a high Grade Point Average (GPA), as shown on the transcript of records. University rankings are reflected in the QS and THE rankings. 

Evidence of financial need will considered in relation to the other applicants. 

Letter of motivation explaining  why you would like to study the LL.M. at KU Leuven, your goals in the field of legal studies and research, and your long-term and short-term career goals. 

Three letters of recommendation from persons qualified to recommend you for postgraduate studies in law, at least one of which must be from a former professor of law.

The standard documents required for LL.M. admission, plus official documentation of your financial situation and that of your parents or partner, if applicable. This could be in the form of bank statements or payslips.

BENEFIT:

Recipients of the Germaine Cox scholarship receive a discount of €3,000 on their tuition fees. This will  reduce their tuition fee for one academic year to € 4.518,60
