UNIVERSITY OF KENT FUTURE STUDENTS AFRICA SCHOLARSHIPS – POSTGRADUATE TAUGHT

The University of Kent is offering the Kent Future Students Africa Scholarships – Postgraduate Taught to eligible and exceptional students who will receive an offer and pay their tuition fee deposit on or before 31st July 2025, they will get a Scholarship discount against their tuition fee, for one year of study.

ELIGIBILITY:

If you are currently domiciled in an African country, you could qualify for the Kent Future Student Scholarship.

Open to postgraduate taught applicants of full time UK programmes 

Applicants must have paid their tuition fee deposit by 31st July, 2025

This scholarship is for students beginning their degrees in September 2025 only

Please note that this scholarship is only available to students assessed as overseas fee payers.

Applicants who have applied for a Masters, which includes an integrated pre-Masters, are not eligible to receive the scholarship.

Applicants who have applied for distance learning programmes are not eligible.

Applicants who have applied for a PCert or PDip programme are not eligible.

This award cannot be used in conjunction with any other award. Should you apply for a higher-value scholarship and be successful then you will receive the higher-value award. The Kent Future Students Africa Scholarship—Postgraduate Taught will then be retracted.

BENEFIT:

A scholarship of £3,000 as a discount against tuition fees for one year of study.

CHINESE GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP: SILK ROAD MASTER’S AND PHD PROGRAM

Application Deadline: April 10th, 2025 (subject to change)

The Chinese Government Scholarship “Silk Road Program” is a sub-program of the Chinese Government Scholarship Program which aims to cultivate industry leaders and outstanding skilled personnel for the construction of the “Belt and Road” countries.

ELIGIBILITY:

The Applicant must be a non-Chinese citizen from countries along “the Belt and Road” (Click to check), in good physical and mental health, with excellent subject background, professional competence and development potential.

Education and Age Requirements:

Applicants applying for a Master degree should hold a Bachelor diploma and be under the age of 35;

Applicants applying for a PhD degree should hold a Master diploma and be under the age of 40.

Language proficiency requirements:

The instruction language of the supported programs is English. Applicants whose native language is not English need to provide ①score report of English language proficiency test (a score above IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL Internet-based 80 or equivalent), or ②a certificate from former university that the previous degree is taught in English, or ③a certificate indicating the applicants have studied in an English-speaking country for more than one year.

Applicants must meet the minimum academic performance requirement, which is a GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or a score of at least 80 out of 100.

Applicants should not be holding any other scholarships.

BENEFIT:

The scholarship covers tuition, accommodation, stipend, and comprehensive medical insurance. Specific funding standards are subject to the information on CSC website (https://www.campuschina.org/).
