MASTERCARD FOUNDATION SCHOLARS PROGRAM AT UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO

The Mastercard Foundation is excited to announce the launch of the 2025-2026 Mastercard Foundation Graduate Scholarship recruitment at the University of Toronto. This scholarship is available to recent graduates and current students from our partner universities in the Africa Health Collaborative. Scholarships will be awarded to individuals who have shown academic excellence in health-related fields and a personal dedication to returning and contributing to their home countries after completing their degrees.

ELIGIBILITY:

Applicants MUST meet the following six eligibility criteria:

Be a citizen and currently residing in a Sub-Saharan African country

Be graduating or have graduated within the last 5 years from a partner institution of the Africa Health Collaborative (listed on page one) and have not yet started studies at the graduate level

Have demonstrated academic excellence and leadership qualities during his/her undergraduate years

Be academically admissible to one of the sponsored graduate programs listed above

Demonstrate a desire and commitment to return home following graduation to contribute to the ongoing economic growth and social development in Africa.

MO IBRAHIM POSTGRADUATE AND DOCTORAL SCHOLARSHIPS FOR AFRICAN STUDENTS

LOCATION: United Kingdom

The Ibrahim Scholarships support aspiring African leaders at a number of distinguished academic institutions. The scholarships develop the talent of outstanding young Africans in selected disciplines

ELIGIBILITY:

London Business School: The MIF scholarship for Africa supports outstanding students on a full-time MBA programme. Each year one scholarship, providing full payment of fees, is awarded to an exceptional African candidate with financial need. School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS): A scholarship is offered on the Governance for Development in Africa Initiative, a programme which studies the socio-economic, political and legal links between governance and development. University of Birmingham: One MSc in Governance and State-Building per year is offered. This two-year programme includes a six-month internship at the Foundation Secretariat.
