KING ABDULLAH UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (KAUST) MASTER’S AND PHD SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM, 2026

LOCATION: Saudi Arabia

Applications for 2026 are open for the King Abdullah University Of Science And Technology (KAUST) Master’s and PhD scholarship program.

ELIGIBILITY:

KAUST requires a minimum TOEFL score of 81 on the IBT (Internet-Based Test) or 6.5 on the IELTS (International English Language Testing System). The KAUST admissions code is 4107. Only official TOEFL or IELTS scores will be accepted. TOEFL or IELTS scores for tests administered by an educational institution for admission to that particular institution are not acceptable.

A TOEFL or IELTS score is not required if the applicant received a degree from an accredited institution in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand.

KAUST does not require the GRE exam for admission. However, we strongly encourage students to take the GRE general test. A high quantitative score on the GRE will enhance a student’s application. Official test results should be sent directly from ETS. The KAUST admissions code is 4139.

Submit an official, complete university Transcript/ Mark sheets/ Graduation Certificate/ Academic Record from every institution previously attended. A scan of the official transcript provided by the university in the native language must be uploaded into the online application along with the certified English translation. Your transcript must include the university grading scale for all documents submitted. If offered admission, an official final transcript must be sent to the Office of Admissions prior to arrival (during the onboarding process) in a sealed envelope to:

All admitted students receive the benefits of the KAUST Fellowship, which supports students for the duration of their graduate studies. The benefits of the KAUST Fellowship include:

Full tuition support

Monthly living allowance (ranging between $20,000 and $30,000 annually, depending on qualifications and progression through degree programs)

Charges may apply to dependent housing and medical and dental coverage.

2026 – SEMESTER 1 – CURTIN HUMANITARIAN SCHOLARSHIP (FUTURE STUDENTS)

The Curtin Humanitarian Scholarship (Scholarship) has been developed by Curtin University to support Curtin undergraduate and postgraduate students from a refugee-like background who are experiencing financial difficulty in meeting the costs of pursuing higher education.

The scholarship is in accordance with Curtin’s long-standing, formal commitment to Ethics and Social Justice.    

ELIGIBILITY:

Course type: Undergraduate and Postgraduate coursework

Citizenship: Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident, New Zealand Citizen, Permanent Humanitarian Visa, International Student

Scholarship base: Merit Based

All undergraduate degrees and postgraduate coursework degrees

Applicants must meet all the following criteria to be eligible to apply for the Scholarship:

Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, Australian permanent humanitarian visa holder, New Zealand citizen or an international student with any of the below:

The applicant has applied for a Protection visa in Australia and is the holder of one of the following visas:
Bridging visa A (class WA) (Subclass 010) 
Bridging visa C (Class WC) (Subclass 030) 
Bridging visa E (Class WE) (Subclass 050 or Subclass 051) 
Bridging visa R (Class WR) (Subclass 070)

OR the applicant is the holder of one of the following temporary visas:
Temporary (Humanitarian Concern) visa (Class UO) (Subclass786)

Currently reside within Australia

Receive a non-conditional offer* of admission and enroll in:

An undergraduate degree at Curtin University in 2026 Semester 1 or

A postgraduate coursework degree at Curtin University in 2026 Semester 1 or Trimester 1

Be from a refugee-like background, or be the relative/dependent of such a person, who experienced forced migration and may have entered Australia in a number of ways, including:

Offshore-approved refugee or humanitarian entrant

Onshore, community-based Asylum Seeker or refugee

Temporary Protection Visa holder, Safe Haven Enterprise Visa or Bridging Visa

Family reunion

Able to provide details of refugee background

Demonstrated financial hardship

Applicants who have received a non-conditional offer must have fulfilled the conditions of the offer by the time the scholarship is awarded after the main round of domestic course offers.

The Scholarship will provide the following support for the total expected duration of the degree (based on a full-time study load of 100 credits per semester):

Total cost of student tuition fees (excluding the Student Services & Amenities Fees (SSAF)) and

A cash stipend of up to $5,000 per semester.

The amount can be used at the recipient’s discretion to contribute towards education-related expenses.
