XMAGE is Huawei’s exclusive photography brand and initiative. It crafts powerful visual experiences based on advanced software, device, and chip technologies, cloud capabilities, and a distinct aesthetic vision, showcasing the power of image.

ELIGIBILITY:

XMAGE is the Huawei platform for smartphone photographic excellence, the window through which we celebrate amazing photos & videos captured on Huawei devices from around the world. It empowers mobile photographers to craft and share breathtaking visuals that demonstrate artistry from different perspectives, uniting us all in celebrating the power of image.

Entry is FREE

Any Huawei phone user from around the world can participate. However, submissions that have won an award in any contest or have been published in a public periodical will not be accepted for submission.

Submissions are to be made on the official XMAGE Awards website (https://consumer.huawei.com/en/campaign/xmage/) and other sub-arenas such as HUAWEI Community, My HUAWEI. To submit your work on the XMAGE Awards website, you are required to log in with your HUAWEI ID and authorize us to use your HUAWEI ID to uniquely identify you so that you can upload, view, and manage your submissions. We will collect your HUAWEI ID, user name, and profile picture.

Submissions shall also be made on Instagram. Upload your work with the hashtag #HUAWEIXMAGE and follow @huaweixmageawards to participate. You must set your profile page to “Public” and allow non-followers to send you direct messages during the Campaign for the Organizer being able to contact you. When your work is featured on our channel or shortlisted, we kindly request you to provide us with your Instagram username. This will allow us to properly credit you in our post.

All submissions to the XMAGE Awards must be created with Huawei phones. There are no restrictions on when you take the photos/videos or which model of Huawei phone you use.

Each participant can upload a maximum of 30 works, which can consist of a photo, a group of photos, or videos. Works not approved will not be counted.

The Future For Nature Foundation (FFN) supports young, talented, and ambitious nature conservationists committed to protecting wild species. Natural leaders who inspire and with their drive and ‘stubbornness,’ achieve impressive results. Annually, they put three of these promising young people in the spotlight.

ELIGIBILITY:

The Candidate:

Must be an individual, not an organisation, programme, or group of individuals.

Must be born on or after the 31st May 1992 (Maximum age of 35 years old at the 2027 FFN Awards event) and before the 31st of August 2008 (minimum age of 18 years old at the time of submitting your application).

Has achieved substantial and long-term benefits to the conservation status of one or more wild species.

Has demonstrated commitment, determination, and passion for conservation work.

Has demonstrated leadership, entrepreneurship, and a clear view of conservation work.

Has been creative and innovative in their work.

Has demonstrated to be honourable in the conservation work performed.

Must be determined to continue their conservation work, as the Award aims to stimulate the winner’s future work. It is not an “end of career” prize.

Is able to explain their conservation work in proficient English (written and spoken).

The Application:

Must be based on the ongoing conservation work of the candidate and not a project proposal. Future For Nature is a foundation that presents Awards to individual nature conservationists and is not a project funding organisation. Therefore, we do not evaluate project proposals.

Must be written by the applicant and reflect the work and conservation vision of the applicant in their own words. The use of AI tools is permitted for guidance only; when direct copying or pasting of AI-generated content is suspected, the application can be excluded from the selection process.

From all applications, 6 to 12 nominees will be shortlisted. These applicants will be required to provide additional information (which may include photos and/or video) that will be used for the selection of the three awardees.

BENEFIT:

Annually we recognize three young conservation leaders with a €50.000 Award.

Winners will present their work at the Future For Nature Awards event at Royal Burgers’ Zoo in Arnhem, the Netherlands. The event will take place in May 2027. Travel and accommodation expenses will be covered by the Future For Nature Foundation.
