AVEVA ECOTECH EMERGE CHALLENGE

Are you ready to make a real impact on the world? The EcoTech Emerge 2024 Challenge is your chance to share innovative ideas that drive the global industry towards a sustainable, net-zero future. The student challenge invites all post-secondary students to present their ideas to foster innovation in sustainability for a better future!

ELIGIBILITY:

To participate in EcoTech Emerge, you must:  

Be a Bachelor’s (at least 2nd year) or Master’s student  

Study Engineering, Business, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics and other Sciences  

Location: worldwide (Team members must be studying in the same Region for the duration of the challenge.)  

Be proficient in English (the Grand Finale pitch will be presented in English.)

Business undergraduates can enter the challenge but you are recommended to team up with technical teammates to bring your idea to life in a software prototype where possible. Use the ‘Teams’ tab to find other students who have the right skills to help you with your idea.

HANSEN LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM

The Hansen Leadership Institute is accepting applications for our 2025 Summer Institute! The Hansen Leadership Institute is very pleased to announce that a new and improved application website has launched! 

ELIGIBLITY:

To participate in the Hansen Summer Institute, candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements:

NON – U.S. STUDENTS: (from zones of conflict and/or social strife)

Upper division undergraduate with 2 years of college/university or graduate student with a professional interest in international relations, diplomacy, international economic development or related fields.

Students must be between the ages of 20-25 at the start of the program.

Must have demonstrated leadership potential outside of the classroom in the community, nation or region.

Have an academic adviser verify in writing the candidate’s English proficiency

Have a valid international passport with U.S. visa if necessary by the time the program begins

Preference will be given to those who have never visited the United States

If you are selected as a participant, we will provide all the necessary documentation to assist in your U.S. visa application, including a letter of acceptance, a letter defining our financial support, a DS-2019 issued by the University of San Diego and a receipt for your paid SEVIS fees.

U.S. STUDENTS: (Students from any university in the United States)

Successful applicants must demonstrate leadership potential by having worked outside of class in community service, another public service, or in a non-governmental organization. A recommendation form from such a group or organization is required.

BENEFIT:

The Hansen Summer Institute is fully funded by the Fred J. Hansen Foundation. This includes international airfare, room and board, and all programmatic costs. If selected the only cost to participants will be the fees incurred in obtaining a passport and spending money.
