CALA ADVANCED LEADERSHIP PROGRAMME

LOCATION: Germany

Join 160 leaders from across the continent (80 per cohort) in CALA’s Advanced Leadership Programme for individuals engaged in delivery and implementation of national agriculture priorities.

ELIGIBILITY:

Leaders implementing country-level agriculture efforts:

Established or emerging leaders working in government, private firms and associations, or civil society organizations who are responsible for driving agriculture flagships and priority programs.

Must be actively employed or working in government (public sector), private sector and civil society (associations or civil society organizations)

Cohorts will be formed from participants from the following countries: Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda.

Special consideration will be given to:

Women leaders

Youth leaders

Individuals working to advance agro-ecological practices.

Please note, CALA does not provide for per diems for in-person leadership forums and graduation events attendance.

BENEFIT:

Participants’ fees are fully sponsored through support provided to AGRA by the German Development Cooperation through KfW Development Bank. This will include travel costs for all Leadership Forums and graduation events. Participants are expected to meet their own costs of internet access for virtual leadership forums.

ERCIM ALAIN BENSOUSSAN FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM

LOCATION: Multiple Regions

The Fellowship Programme enables bright young scientists from all over the world to work on a challenging problem as fellows of leading European research centers. In addition, an ERCIM fellowship helps widen and intensify the network of personal relations and understanding among scientists. The programme offers the opportunity to ERCIM fellows:

to work with internationally recognized experts,

to improve their knowledge about European research structures and networks,

to become familiarized with working conditions in leading European research centres,

to promote cross-fertilization and cooperation, through the fellowships, between research groups working in similar areas in different laboratories.

ELIGIBILITY:

Before applying, please read carefully the “Application guide“:

have obtained a PhD degree during the last 8 years (prior to the application year deadline) or be in the last year of the thesis work with an outstanding academic record. Nevertheless, before starting the grant, a proof of the PhD degree will be requested.

complete, submit the application form and send via the online system:

a detailed curriculum vitae without any sensitive data (such as information that reveals the alleged racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs…). More details in the Application guide,

a list of publications,

two scientific papers in English,

contact details of two referees.

Please note that the fellowship is restricted to two terms (one reselection possible).

They encourage not only researchers from academic institutions to apply, but also scientists working in industry.
