UCD SCHOOL OF EARTH SCIENCES MSC SCHOLARSHIPS AND STIPENDS

They are pleased to announce the following scholarship opportunities for the School of Earth Sciences graduate-taught master’s programmes (MSc in Subsurface Geomodelling and MSc in Environmental and Engineering Geoscience) for the 2026-27 academic year

ELIGIBILITY:

This is open to applicants who qualify for the EU fee rate (including Irish, other EU, and UK applicants) and non-EU applicants.

In both cases, applicants must already have applied to the course online and be holding an offer of a place on one of these two MSc courses. These scholarship and stipend offers are only applicable to the particular MSc programme specified, and cannot be transferred to another programme or deferred to a later academic year.

UCD School of Earth Sciences MSc Scholarship or Stipend applications should be made via email to (opens in a new window)earthsciencesscholarships@ucd.ie and must include transcripts, a CV, names of two referees, and a personal statement. The scholarships will be awarded by a committee of School of Earth Science faculty on the basis of academic excellence and student fit to the MSc. The deadline for applications is February 28th, 2026, and candidates will be informed by mid-March.

The UCD School of Earth Sciences MSc Stipend does not include a tuition fee scholarship. However, details of UCD tuition fees and scholarships for non-EU students are available here.  All non-EU applicants to our course are assessed on the basis of their academic record for a UCD International Student Scholarship, which covers part of tuition fees, as part of the application process, and no separate application is required for this. The UCD Global Excellence Scholarships offer 50% or 100% waivers of tuition fees for non-EU applications and must be applied for separately. 

BENEFIT:

Up to two full fee waivers for EU applicants.  This is open to applicants who qualify for the EU fee rate (including Irish, other EU, and UK applicants).

Up to two stipends, to the value of €20,000, as a contribution to living expenses for non-EU applicants.  This is open to all applicants who qualify for the Non-EU fee rate.

BI NORWEGIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Application Deadline: March 1, 2026

LOCATION: Norway

The BI Presidential Scholarship is given to candidates who are accepted into an MSc program at either the Oslo or Bergen campuses and have excellent academic records.

ELIGIBILITY:

Candidates must have a minimum overall GPA of ‘A’ on the ECTS scale or the equivalent top-level grade on international grade scales to be considered.

Students in the 3rd year of the Sivøk programme are eligible to apply.

Candidates with Norwegian or international citizenship. Candidates with international citizenship who have completed a bachelor’s degree in Norway are considered residents of Norway for this scholarship.

Candidates admitted to the first year of a Master of Science degree programme at campus Oslo or campus Bergen, with the exception of the BI-Luiss Joint Masters in Marketing.

Only candidates seeking their first master’s degree are considered for Master of Science scholarships.

Applications for scholarship are not accepted by email, with the exception of 3rd-year Sivøk applicants

International applicants who apply for the BI Presidential Scholarship will also be considered for the MSc International Scholarship. A separate scholarship application letter is not required.

You may apply for more than one scholarship; however, BI Norwegian Business School will award only one scholarship per applicant.

Awarded scholarships are tied to a specific academic programme at a designated campus and cannot be transferred.

Only candidates seeking their first master’s degree are considered for Master of Science scholarships.

Only candidates admitted to a Master of Science programme commencing Autumn 2026 will be considered for this scholarship.

BENEFIT:

Norwegian and International Applicants who are residents of Norway: Scholarships will cover full tuition fees for each semester, for up to two years, if the student achieves the academic progression requirements.

Sivøk Applicants: Scholarships will cover full tuition fees for each semester, for up to two years, if the student achieves the academic progression requirements.

International Applicants: Scholarships will cover full tuition fees for up to two years and a stipend for living expenses of NOK 50,000 per semester if the student achieves the academic progression requirements.
