UAL INTERNATIONAL POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS

This scholarship provides a £7,000 tuition fee waiver for a full-time or part-time taught master’s course at 1 of UAL’s Colleges and Institutes. Up to 311 UAL International Postgraduate £7,000 Scholarships are available for the 25/26 academic year.

ELIGIBILITY:

Criteria 1: You must hold an offer to study a full-time or part-time taught master’s course at 1 of UAL’s Colleges and Institutes starting in 2025/26.

Your course must offer either a Grad Dip, M ARCH, MA, MFA, MBA, MRes or MSc qualification and be offered at 1 of UAL’s Colleges or Institutes. Courses run by UAL Online are not eligible for this scholarship.

You are not eligible to apply if you already hold a UK postgraduate taught qualification (or 1 at an equivalent level) from studies undertaken in the UK.

Criteria 2: You need to qualify for the Overseas category of tuition fee status. Read more about Postgraduate Tuition Fees.

Criteria 3: You have achieved, or are predicted to achieve, an upper second-class honours degree or above at undergraduate level. Recognised equivalent qualifications are also accepted. To check your eligibility, read the International Academic Qualifications Equivalency (PDF 721 KB).

You will need to provide your transcripts as proof of your qualification.

If you have not yet received your results, you will need to provide evidence of your predicted grade as part of your application. When you receive your results, you will need to provide further evidence that you have achieved your predicted grade to be granted the award.

Criteria 4: You must provide a personal statement as part of your scholarship application which responds to the following questions (maximum 350 words per question):

Describe your background and your academic experience.

Describe how receiving a postgraduate scholarship would make a difference to you.

Tell us how you intend to use the qualification you will be gaining to support your future plans.

Confirm any other sources of funding you have, or have applied for, to meet the cost of your studies in the UK.

Criteria 5: You are able to support your application with a satisfactory personal reference from an academic or professional referee. Your reference must be provided in English.

UNIVERSITY OF SYDNEY RESEARCH TRAINING PROGRAM STIPEND POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP

The Research Training Program (RTP) postgraduate scholarships financially support domestic and international postgraduate research students.

ELIGIBILITY:

Applicants must be international students at the time of the award.

Research Training Program (RTP) Stipend International Scholarship (‘the Scholarship’) holders are expected to enrol in a full-time postgraduate research degree. A part-time RTP Stipend Scholarship may be approved where the University is satisfied that there are special circumstances beyond the student’s control (medical conditions, financial hardship, or carer’s responsibilities).

Applicants must apply to be considered for RTP Scholarships at the time of their application for admission to their HDR Course and must submit the required supporting material in the manner specified on the Scholarships Office website. Applicants who have already commenced their HDR candidature must apply by completing the application form available on the Scholarships Office website.

Terms and Conditions

BENEFIT:

Holders of the Scholarship will receive a stipend of $41,753 per annum (2025 rate). The value of this stipend will be indexed annually on 1 January each year.

Relocation and thesis allowance: The value of the allowance is up to $1,485 for travel from their home country to Sydney at the commencement of their degree and up to $1,485 for travel to return to their home country after successful completion of their degree. Costs of relocation may only be claimed for the student’s personal relocation expenses and not for any other person or dependents.
