NIGERIAN AGIP EXPLORATION LIMITED OPERATOR OF THE NNPC & NAE PSC 2025/2026 POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP AWARD SCHEME

Nigerian Agip Exploration (NAE) Limited, on behalf of the NNPC/NAE PSC, is committed to the training and development of manpower as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.

In pursuance of this, NAE invites applications from suitably qualified and interested Nigerian graduates for the 2025/2026 Postgraduate Scholarship Award Scheme. The award is in two categories: – 

Overseas – For study in a reputable overseas university
Local – For study in a recognized Nigerian university

ELIGIBILITY:

To qualify for the 2024/2025 NAE Post Graduate Scholarship Award scheme, applicants MUST:

Possess a minimum of Second Class Upper Bachelor’s degree from a recognized Nigerian university.

Have secured admission into a Nigerian or Overseas university (based on the category being applied for) for a one-year Master’s Degree programme in any of the disciplines listed below.

Not above 28 years of age by December 31st, 2025.

Have completed the one-year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme.

Possess an international passport valid for travel at least one year from September 2025 (applicable to overseas category).

Course of Study
Only candidates with an offer of admission in disciplines related to the following areas should apply;

Geosciences

Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Civil, Subsea, Electrical/Electronics, Marine, Chemical, Offshore, Environmental, Renewable)

Petroleum Economics

Law (Oil and Gas/Petroleum)

Please note:

ONLY Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for the aptitude test.

Shortlisted candidates will be contacted with details of the qualifying test via SMS text and Email (Ensure to provide valid email and phone contacts).

Employees of NAE and other affiliate companies and their dependents are not eligible for this scholarship

Current and past beneficiaries of similar awards from NAE, other affiliate companies, and agencies are not eligible.

Please ensure you understand the Instructions carefully before you start this application to avoid errors and disqualification. 

Strict compliance with the above guidelines is required. 

Completion of the application form and test invitation shall NOT be construed as a commitment on the part of the NNPC/NAE PSC nor shall it entitle applicants to make any claims whatsoever and/or seek any indemnity from NAE and/or any of its partners by virtue of responding to this invitation to apply for a postgraduate scholarship award.

Candidates should have the following clearly scanned documents before starting the application process:   

Passport photograph (450 × 450 pixels) with white background not more than 6 months old. 

Provisional admission letter for post-graduate studies 2025/2026 session into any reputable university – Local/Overseas. This admission letter must be for the course stated on the candidate’s application. 

First Degree Certificate 

NYSC Discharge Certificate 

Valid ID card (Driver’s license, Voter’s card, National Identity card)

Valid International Passport Data Page for Overseas category only (Valid for travel at least one year from September 2025) 

Birth Certificate from Local government

BENEFIT:

The NAE scholarship award applies to tuition, books, field trips, accommodation, living expenses, and a return economy ticket for a selected one-year course of study.

TSINGHUA UNIVERSITY SCHWARZMAN SCHOLARS PROGRAMME FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Every year, a new class is selected to represent the world’s next generation of leaders — high-caliber individuals with open minds and limitless potential who will serve to deepen understanding between China and the rest of the world. Schwarzman Scholars are selected from an international pool of distinguished candidates. Prospective Scholars are expected to demonstrate academic excellence, exceptional results in their field and outstanding leadership qualities.

ELIGIBILITY:

In addition to demonstrating extraordinary leadership skills, the ability to anticipate and act on trends and changes in their context, strong intellectual capacity, and exemplary character, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Applicants who are currently enrolled in undergraduate degree programs must be on track to successfully complete all degree requirements before August 1 of their Schwarzman Scholars enrollment year. There are no requirements for a specific field of undergraduate study; all fields are welcome, but it is important for applicants, regardless of undergraduate major, to articulate how participating in Schwarzman Scholars will help develop their leadership potential within their field.

Candidates must be at least 18 but not yet 29 years of age as of August 1 of their Schwarzman Scholars enrollment year (for the Class of 2026-2027, as of August 1, 2026).

Applicants must demonstrate strong English skills, as all teaching will be conducted in English. If the applicant’s native language is not English, official English proficiency test scores must be submitted with the application. This requirement is waived for applicants who studied at an undergraduate institution where the primary language of instruction was English for at least two years of the applicant’s academic program. The requirement will also be waived for applicants who have studied in English for two or more years at a Master’s degree level or higher. Acceptable test options are: Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Minimum score 100. International English Language Testing System (IELTS). Minimum score 7. Cambridge English: Advanced (C1) or Cambridge English: Proficiency (C2). Minimum score 185. Duolingo English Test. Minimum Score 130.

BENEFIT:

There is no fee associated with applying to the program. Interview expenses, such as economy class air or train travel, group meals, and one night in a hotel if needed, are arranged and covered by the program. Expenses for Schwarzman Scholars are also fully covered by the program, including the following: tuition, fees, room and board, travel to and from Beijing at the beginning and end of the academic year, in-country study tours, required course books and supplies, a Lenovo laptop, health insurance, and a personal stipend.
