CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: SCHOLARSHIPS FOR MASTER’S DEGREE IN ENVIRONMENT IN FRANCE

The Embassy of France in Nigeria is renewing a scholarship program to finance a Master’s degree in a French university for the academic year 2024/2025. Five grants will be awarded to the laureates wanting to pursue studies related to Environment and Risk Management. The deadline to submit your application is set on December 15th 2023.
This program is funded by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the French Ministry for Higher Education and Research, and implemented by the French Embassy and Campus France Nigeria.

ELIGIBILITY:

Have Nigerian nationality and reside in Nigeria


Be up to 35 years old

Hold a Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma in environment

Have completed National Service

Be fully committed to take up a course of study in France for the academic year from September/October 2024/2025

French proficiency is not a requirement for application

BENEFIT:

The scholarship covers two academic years if the scholar is admitted in M1, and one academic year if the scholar is admitted in M2. It caters for transportation, a monthly allowance, guidance to find affordable student housing, healthcare coverage throughout the program, visa fee and national tuition fees in a public university.

THE ÉMILE BOUTMY SCHOLARSHIP

Sciences Po created the Émile Boutmy scholarship, named after the founder of Sciences Po (1871), in order to welcome the very best international students from outside the European Union. The Émile Boutmy scholarship fund benefits from the generous support of its sponsors (benefactors, companies and foundations) who are eager to allow the most deserving international students to study at Sciences Po.

ELIGIBILITY:

To be eligible for the scholarship, students must be: first time applicants, from a non-European Union statewhose household does not file taxes within the European Union, and who have been admitted to the Undergraduate or Master’s programme.

If you do not validate your academic year, your scholarship will be lost.

If you have been granted a scholarship and decide to defer your admission, your scholarship will be lost.

During the year abroad (third year of the undergraduate programme): scholarship recipients will retain their tuition fee grant.

The Émile Boutmy scholarship is automatically renewed if the student chooses to continue their graduate studies at Sciences Po

Émile Boutmy Master’s scholarship holders already at Sciences Po : the amount awarded through the scholarship is determined at the time of admission. It may be recalculated on a yearly basis, in accordance with tuition fee increases, when applicable. 

BENEFIT:

A tuition grant of €14,210 per year for the three years of the undergraduate programme.

The Émile Boutmy programme is a tuition grant of €13,100 (amount granted in 2023, the 2024 amount is yet to be confirmed) per year, for each year, which covers part of the tuition fees for the two years of the Master’s degree programme.
