IBM CALL FOR CODE GLOBAL CHALLENGE

It’s time! Join this year’s Call for Code Global Challenge now. Build solutions to address equitable access while building your generative AI skills with free watsonx training.

ELIGIBILITY:

For the 2024 Call for Code Global Challenge, they’re calling on students, developers, and problem-solvers from universities and companies around the world to build innovative AI tech solutions with IBM watsonx that address specific challenges of equitable access to essential needs. Help show the world that AI can be trusted and used responsibly.

BENEFIT:

Teams of 1-5 people can compete for the following prizes:

Grand prize: $50,000 USD – Option for solution implementation support from the Call for Code ecosystem and Opportunity for open source support from The Linux Foundation

First runner-up: $25,000 USD – Opportunity for open source support from The Linux Foundation

University grant: $30,000 USD -total to the top scoring university team’s school(s)

Second runner-up: $10,000 USD – Opportunity for open source support from The Linux Foundation

GLOBAL PLURALISM AWARD

Application Deadline: May 17th, 2024 at 5:00 PM EDT.

The Global Pluralism Award recognizes pluralism in action. Presented every other year to individuals, organisations, governments and businesses from around the world, the Award celebrates the inspiring and brave work that is helping to build more inclusive societies where diversity is valued and protected. The Award is conferred by the Global Centre for Pluralism (“the Centre”) and made possible in part by the generous support of TD Bank Group.

ELIGIBILITY:

Candidates from any country are eligible, including:

Individuals (e.g., artists, journalists, academics, policymakers, filmmakers, etc.);

Civil society organizations (e.g., professional associations, faith-based organizations, labour unions, non-profit research or educational institutions, local community groups, non-governmental organizations, foundations, think tanks, etc);

Social enterprises; Corporations (public or private); Educational, research and policy institutions (public or private); Local/municipal, regional or federal/national branches or agencies of government.

BENEFIT:

Three Award winners will share a total prize pool of $150,000 (CAD). The monetary prize will be equally divided among the three Award winners (CAD $50,000 each).
