SMARTPHONE PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION

SPC is a long-term and professional annual competition platform, offers the opportunity for mobile photography enthusiasts around the world to compete for various rewards and the chance to exhibit their works with EASYART©, the leading platform for modern and contemporary art works retail and art digital copyright brokerage in China.

ELIGIBILITY:

The entries must be original works independently completed by the submitter, and the title, picture description, and other required information must be indicated. Entry is free

The shooting and post-production of the entry must be done on mobile phones. The brand and model of the mobile phone are not limited. The original information of the photo must be kept; otherwise, the organizer will regard it as an invalid work.

The entries are required to be uploaded in JPG format. There is no limit to the color tone, both colored and black & white images can be submitted. The minimum length of the work is 1200 pixels. Except for the creative category, the pixel content of images competing for other categories are not allowed to be modified.

This competition does not accept restoration of photos. All entries must not have any watermarks.

Participants should have independent, complete and undisputed copyrights for the works they submit, and must not infringe any rights of third parties including copyrights, portrait rights, reputation rights, privacy rights, etc. Participants are deemed to agree with the content of this article. All legal responsibilities for related disputes caused by the failure of the above guarantees shall be borne by the contestants themselves, and the competition platform and event organizers have nothing to do.

The organizer of this contest has the right to use all entries, which can be extended indefinitely and irrevocably after the submission of the entries. The organizer can use any of the contestant’s works for publicity and promotion worldwide without any additional payment. At the same time, the organizer is obliged to respect the authorship rights of authors and copyright owners during use.

BENEFIT:

The first, second and third place of the Photographer of the Year will be respectively awarded with:

5000 RMB, the SPC trophy.

COMMONWEALTH 2025 PEACE PRIZE FOR COMMONWEALTH CITIZENS.

The Commonwealth Peace Prize will be awarded to a distinguished peacebuilder with a strong track record of faith-based engagement in conflict resolution, promotion of social cohesion, and sustainable peace. The prize, organised and delivered by the Khalili Foundation in partnership with the Commonwealth Secretariat, is a part of the Commonwealth Faith Festival and Faith in the Commonwealth Initiative.

ELIGIBILITY:

The winner of the Prize will be a living, distinguished and long-serving individual/ Commonwealth citizen over the age of 30 who:

is considered a respected and trusted broker between conflicting parties, with a strong and lengthy track record of successful peacebuilding in Commonwealth societies;

has built sustainable mechanisms, institutions or processes for dialogue which have, based on objective evaluation, contributed to a definitive end to conflict, lasting peace, social cohesion, or other observed positive change;

has, in the pursuit of those efforts, consistently used their significant influence to promote the Commonwealth values of tolerance, respect, understanding, moderation, celebration of cultural, racial, ethnic diversity and religious freedom; and

has used principles of religious faith and/or faith in the Commonwealth Charter to create positive and sustainable peace towards the aim of free and democratic societies and inclusive development.

Individuals who have received other international peace prizes or have been recognised for their efforts at a high level are eligible for nomination.

Nomination requirements:

Nominations open on International Peace Day, 21 September 2024, and close on 17 January 2025

Only member governments, through their High Commissions in London or non-resident High Commissioners or accredited officials to the Commonwealth, and

Heads of Commonwealth Accredited Organisations are eligible to submit official nominations.

Nominations must be submitted to the Commonwealth Secretariat by email to PeacePrize@commonwealth.int and be received by 23:59 GMT on 17 January 2025.

Nominations must be submitted as an official letter of recommendation, including an impact biography of the candidate, which outlines how the candidate meets all the specified criteria.

BENEFIT:

The winner will be presented with a citation and a letter of award outlining a financial award of £50,000 to be used to continue their work.
