SRK CONSULTING (CANADA) INC. GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

LOCATION: Canada

SRK Consulting (Canada) Inc. offers a graduate scholarship with the intent to assist students undertaking graduate studies in mining industry-related areas, including mining and mineral process engineering, exploration and mining geology, hydrotechnical and geotechnical engineering, hydrogeology and geochemistry, tailings and mine waste management, and environmental science and engineering.

ELIGIBILITY:

Citizenship: Canadian, Permanent Resident, and International

Degree Level: Masters, Doctoral

To be eligible to apply for a scholarship, an applicant must:

Be accepted to a scientific or engineering MSc or PhD program in Canada that is related to the mining industry

Have an appropriate undergraduate degree

Be legally entitled to study in Canada

Recipients will be chosen by a scholarship panel who may request shortlisted applicants to present their application formally. Applicants will be assessed on the following criteria:

Academic achievement as evidenced by their academic record

Prior industry experience (if applicable)

Relevance of future studies to the mining industry

Compile an application package that includes the following:

Brief resume (no more than two pages) including work experience details

Academic transcripts

Written statement (500 words or less) outlining

Topic and summary of the intended graduate research

Applicability of the research to the mining industry

Benefit to be obtained from the scholarship

Applicant’s desire to work in the mining industry

Other information the applicant considers relevant to their application d) Written recommendations (including contact information) by at least two university or other industry references e) List of other awards or scholarships received and/or applied for Submit the completed application package via email to ca_scholarships@srk.global prior to the closing date.

UNIVERSITY OF SASKATCHEWAN, COLLEGE OF DENTISTRY MASTER OF SCIENCE (MSC) IN PRECISION ORAL AND SYSTEMIC HEALTH (POSH) SCHOLARSHIP

LOCATION: Canada

The College of Dentistry extends an invitation to all prospective students who aspire to pursue a Master of Science (MSc) in Precision Oral and Systemic Health (POSH). Their MSc POSH program is actively seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join our vibrant community of scholars. With a strong commitment to academic excellence, groundbreaking research, and real-world impact, our program offers a unique opportunity for you to gain a deeper understanding of the intricacies of precision oral and systemic health. 

ELIGIBILITY:

A cumulative weighted average of at least a 70% (USask grade system equivalent) in the last two years of study (i.e., 60 credit units of coursework)

Language Proficiency Requirements: Proof of English proficiency may be required for international applicants and for applicants whose first language is not English.

Professional degree in a relevant health sciences field (D.M.D., DDS, M.D., RN, PT, or equivalent) from a recognized university, or a four-year honors degree, or equivalent, from a recognized college or university in an academic discipline relevant to the proposed field of study.

Research topics in this program will have a connection to oral health and will range across the spectrum of biomedical, precision health, public health, public policy, Indigenous and priority population health, and bioengineering. Throughout the program students will be exposed to research and training using state-of-the-art technology, a critical thinking approach, ethical considerations and clinical applications in a real-world context.

BENEFIT:

Funding from scholarships and teaching assistantships may be obtained on a competitive basis. Students will be encouraged to apply for both internal and external funding opportunities.

The college has four scholarships available to students each year. The amount of these scholarships varies and is approved by the Associate Dean of Academic. These scholarships will be competitive and will be awarded to the most accomplished PhD students every year.

Graduate students at USask can receive funding from a variety of sources to support their graduate education.
