CONCORDIA MERIT MASTER’S RESEARCH AND DOCTORATE SCHOLARSHIP  PROGRAMS

Concordia Merit Scholarships play a vital role in supporting graduate students by allowing them to focus on their research and studies. These scholarships, awarded based on academic excellence and research potential, provide financial support that relieves students from the burden of financial constraints.

ELIGIBILITY:

Citizenship: Unrestricted

Degree: Master’s research and Doctorate programs

Deadline: Admissions deadline

You must be a graduate student who has been admitted or is currently registered in a graduate research-based program at Concordia University.

For Master’s students, you must be within the first two years of your program. For Doctoral students, you must be within the first four years of your program.

As a prospective student seeking to benefit from the Concordia Merit Scholarship, you are advised to submit your admission application early, as the scholarship application is integrated into the admission process. Your admission application will serve as your application for the scholarship.

For current students enrolled in a program, it is advisable to reach out to your Graduate Program Director (GPD) to inquire about the application procedure for the Concordia Merit Scholarship.

The selection of recipients for the Concordia Merit Scholarship is the responsibility of the respective programs.

BENEFIT:

Valued at $5,000-$10,000 for one academic year.

SWISS GOVERNMENT ART SCHOLARSHIPS 2026–2027

Application Opens: August 4, 2025; Deadline: November 25, 2025

LOCATION: Switzerland

These scholarships are intended for art students wishing to obtain their first Master’s degree in Switzerland.

Scholarships are available at all Swiss conservatories and art schools. They are available to applicants from only a limited number of countries.

ELIGIBILITY:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent completed by 31 July 2026.

Date of birth after 31 December 1990.

Applicants must not yet hold a Master’s degree at the start of the scholarship.

Admission process (entrance exam or submitted application) to a Swiss art or music school (conservatory) must already be in progress.

If the applicant already resides in Switzerland: date of entry must not be earlier than 1 August 2025 (submit a copy of the registration confirmation or residence permit).

Selection Criteria: Artistic profile, qualifications, and motivation.

Submitted portfolio: artistic maturity and potential.

Enrolment availability at the desired university.

Duration: 12 months

Extension possible up to a maximum of 21 months, depending on the chosen Master’s degree program and the required ECTS credits.

Start date: 1 September 2026.

CHF 1,920 per month to cover basic living expenses for one person.
