KAUST FELLOWSHIP

LOCATION: Saudi Arabia

The KAUST Fellowship is designed to ensure that you can focus entirely on your studies and research with the peace of mind that comes from financial support. All admitted students automatically receive this fellowship*, allowing you to dedicate yourself fully to your academic pursuits without the burden of tuition and living expenses.

ELIGIBILITY:

Bachelors degree in a subject relevant the program being applied to, from a recognized higher education institution for entry into our Masters programs 

Masters degree in a subject relevant to the program being applied to, from a recognized higher education institution for entry into our Ph.D. programs. We do not regard Professional Masters degrees as being directly equivalent to Masters degrees and so if you are taking one of these you must be careful to declare that in your application.

At least 18 years of age on entry

A competitive GPA. Typically, 90% of admitted applicants have a GPA above 3.3, and 75% have a GPA above 3.5 on a 4-point scale (or equivalent). The minimum permitted GPA is 3.0.

Evidence of proficiency in English language:

International English Language Testing System (IELTS): 6.5 with at least 5.5 in all individual sections
TOEFL iBT (Internet-based Test): 79 overall, with at least 17 in all individual sections, the KAUST Admissions code is 4107

Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: 62 overall, with at least 59 in all individual sections

Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE): 176 overall, with at least 169 in all individual sections

When submitting your application, you will be required to submit the following:

Official university transcripts

Curriculum Vitae (CV)

Statement of purpose

Contact details of 3 referees

Official English language test score

A clear, unobscured copy of the passport page showing your picture and personal details, or otherwise a national ID card

BENEFIT:

The Fellowship includes:

Full tuition and bench fee coverage (worth up to USD $35,000 per year)

A monthly stipend (worth USD $20,000 per year for PG Diploma and M.S. students, and USD $25,000 to $30,000 for Ph.D. students depending on qualifications and academic progress)

On-campus housing (worth USD $7,000 per year and covering utilities such as electricity and wifi)

Health insurance (worth USD $1,450 per year)

Relocation support (visa, relocation and travel costs)

In total, the vaule of the KAUST Fellowship is calculated to be worth between $70k and $80k per year, depending on your specific situation. While we understand that higher education costs can be daunting, the KAUST Fellowship is here to alleviate those concerns.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP WORLD CUP (EWC) COMPETITION

Is your company solving some of the world’s biggest challenges? EWC wants to hear from you. Applications are now open.

ELIGIBIITY:

There is no entry fee.

Any startup from around the world is welcome to apply and become an Applicant.

Applicant startups must be legally registered or planning to register in their country of residence.

Applicant startups must be ten years or less old by the date of the Global Finals. Entity age is set by the date of company registration and not idea conception.

EWC Global Winners who won cash prizes during previous editions of the EWC Global Finals (2019-2023) are eligible to participate again in 2024 with certain candidacy considerations for future would-be prizes:

BENEFIT:

Travel to the EWC Global Finals: EWC 100 finalists will receive a full travel scholarship for one (1) designated traveler to participate in the EWC Global Finals.

EWC Awards and Cash Prizes: The EWC 100 will be eligible to receive their share of US $1 million in non-dilutive cash prizes.
