UNIVERSITY OF SASKATCHEWAN, COLLEGE OF DENTISTRY MASTER OF SCIENCE (MSC) IN PRECISION ORAL AND SYSTEMIC HEALTH (POSH) SCHOLARSHIP

The College of Dentistry extends an invitation to all prospective students who aspire to pursue a Master of Science (MSc) in Precision Oral and Systemic Health (POSH). Their MSc POSH program is actively seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join our vibrant community of scholars. ELIGIBILITY:

A cumulative weighted average of at least a 70% (USask grade system equivalent) in the last two years of study (i.e., 60 credit units of coursework)

Language Proficiency Requirements: Proof of English proficiency may be required for international applicants and for applicants whose first language is not English.

Professional degree in a relevant health sciences field (D.M.D., DDS, M.D., RN, PT, or equivalent) from a recognized university, or a four-year honors degree, or equivalent, from a recognized college or university in an academic discipline relevant to the proposed field of study.

Research topics in this program will have a connection to oral health and will range across the spectrum of biomedical, precision health, public health, public policy, Indigenous and priority population health, and bioengineering. Throughout the program students will be exposed to research and training using state-of-the-art technology, a critical thinking approach, ethical considerations and clinical applications in a real-world context.

BENEFIT:

Funding from scholarships and teaching assistantships may be obtained on a competitive basis. Students will be encouraged to apply for both internal and external funding opportunities.

The college has four scholarships available to students each year. The amount of these scholarships varies and is approved by the Associate Dean of Academic. These scholarships will be competitive and will be awarded to the most accomplished PhD students every year.

Graduate students at USask can receive funding from a variety of sources to support their graduate education.

The Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is pleased to announce the Postgraduate Student Agreement Program (PEC-PG) for international students. The PEC-PG is managed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE), the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES), and the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) (coordinating bodies). It functions as an international cooperation initiative, attracting foreigners to Brazil and encouraging the exchange of knowledge between partner countries, while also benefiting Brazilian institutions through the contact between Brazilian students and faculty with qualified researchers working abroad.

ELIGIBILITY:

To be considered for the Postgraduate Student Agreement Program (PEC-PG), you must:

Be nationals of partner countries in the PEC-PG cooperation agreement

Apply for Full Master’s, Full Doctorate, or Sandwich Doctorate programs at Brazilian higher education institutions (HEIs)

Submit required documents and meet the academic standards outlined in the program’s official notice

Commit to the program rules, as registration automatically implies acceptance of the conditions

Registration is free and can be done directly on the program’s website by completing the registration questionnaire and submitting documents, as described in the notice.

After submission, each applicant will immediately receive confirmation of receipt of the application at the email address provided in the form.

The candidate’s registration implies knowledge and acceptance of the rules and conditions established in each Notice, in relation to which they cannot claim ignorance.

Duration of scholarships:

I – Sandwich Doctorate: between 6 (six) and 10 (ten) months;

II – Full Doctorate: up to 48 (forty-eight) months and 

III – Full Master’s Degree: up to 24 (twenty-four) months.

This program is particularly ideal for talented international students seeking advanced degrees while engaging in cultural and academic exchange.
