VICTORIA UNIVERSITY, MELBOURNE RESEARCH TRAINING PROGRAM (RTP) STIPEND SCHOLARSHIPS – INTERNATIONAL

Victoria University, Melbourne, welcomes international students to apply for the Research Training Program (RTP) Stipend Scholarships. The international postgraduate research scholarships provide financial assistance to students with excellent academic qualifications who are participating in postgraduate research programs in Australia. 

ELIGIBILITY:

To be eligible for one of these scholarships, you must:

Be a citizen of any country other than Australia or New Zealand

Meet the University’s academic entrance requirements for enrolment into a research degree

Applicants for an RTP Stipend Scholarship – International must also:

Have achieved an average grade of H1 (above 85% VU Standard) in the honours or final year

meet the University’s English language proficiency requirements for enrolment in a research degree

Be commencing a research doctoral degree (Doctor of Philosophy)

Nominate a research-focus outline as part of your application

Enroll as a full-time student

Applications for Research Period 1 2027 open on 27 July 2026.

BENEFIT:

The RTP Stipend Scholarship – International includes:

An RTP Fee Offset Scholarship exempting the recipient from paying tuition fees

A living allowance of $35,707 per year (2026 rate)

Overseas student health cover (single cover).

BU SPORT GRADUATE & POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP AT BOURNEMOUTH UNIVERSITY

LOCATION: United Kingdom

The BU Sport Scholarship is available to high-level sporting athletes coming to study at either the undergraduate or postgraduate level at BU. The scholarship is designed to provide funding you may need to develop your sporting abilities and take them to the next level.

ELIGIBILITY:

For courses starting in September 2026 and January 2027. Scholarships cannot be deferred.

Any applicant for a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate course delivered at BU

Be a high-performing sportsperson and have the desire to continue to develop in the sporting arena, as well as academically.

You must demonstrate excellence in your chosen sport, and be part of a Regional, National and/or International squad and compete at that level. Student athletes receiving a scholarship will ideally represent BU in the BUCS programme (League and Individual), as well as themselves and/or their club at regional, national or international level. Individual student athletes need to be competitive with the top performers within the BUCS programme.

If you are awarded a scholarship, you will need to meet with the High-Performance Team to assess how the funds will help you throughout the year, and it will be your responsibility to commit to the following:

Attend all expected academic activities (Dual Career Support Provided)

Attend 75% of sport-specific training sessions

Attend 85% S&C sessions 

Engage with all support services offered 

Represent BU in sporting competitions whenever possible 

Provide stories of your performance activities.
