JOHNS HOPKINS UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF ADVANCED INTERNATIONAL STUDIES PUBLIC SERVICE SCHOLARS—SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The Johns Hopkins SAIS Public Service Scholars – Scholarship Program is for experienced mid-career professionals pursuing the Master of International Public Policy (MIPP) who have worked in public service, (broadly defined), and intend to return to public service after earning their degree. 

ELIGIBILITY:

Citizens of all countries are eligible to apply

Candidates must be admitted to the Master of International Public Policy (MIPP) program on the Washington DC campus in the fall semester; both full and part-time students (taking at least two courses per semester) are eligible to apply

Proven leadership, academic aptitude, and dedication to public service through demonstrated professional experience

Special consideration will be given to applicants who demonstrate financial need

Scholarship awards cannot be deferred

Must begin the Master of International Public Policy (MIPP) program in the fall semester

May pursue the program full or part time (part-time must take at least two classes per semester)

Must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.4 or higher

Must participate in at least one admissions recruitment activity per semester (such as meeting with prospective applicants or serving on a student panel) or serve as a mentor to a Public Service Fellow

Must complete and submit brief program surveys once per semester and a final comprehensive survey in the last semester

Must complete and submit Global Careers’ Employment Outcomes Survey prior to graduating

The Johns Hopkins SAIS Public Service Scholars – Scholarship Program is only open to Fall applicants.

THE TONY KRUGER EDUCATION FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE DOCTORAL RESEARCH SCHOLARSHIP AT VICTORIA UNIVERSITY, MELBOURNE

The Tony Kruger Education for Social Justice Research Scholarship has been established in memory and honour of Associate Professor Tony Kruger. To be eligible for the Tony Kruger Education for Social Justice Research Scholarship, applicants must demonstrate academic excellence and conduct research within an area of social justice in Education.

This scholarship will next be awarded for Research Period 1, 2027.

ELIGIBILITY:

To be eligible for one of these scholarships, you must:

Be a citizen of any country other than Australia or New Zealand

Meet the University’s academic entrance requirements for enrolment into a research degree

Scholarship rounds are competitive, and they estimate that applicants will require the equivalent of 80 to 85 on the VU grading scale to be considered for a PhD stipend scholarship.

The number of stipend scholarships awarded is determined by the university funds available in any given year. We receive a large number of high-quality applications and cannot provide all eligible applicants with a scholarship. Due to the volume of applications received, we are unable to provide individual feedback on applications or advise on what scores applicants received against each of the criteria.

Successful applicants will normally be notified of outcomes within two months of the application closing date.

BENEFIT:

Annual stipend value: $40,707 (2026 rate)

Tuition fees are covered by the Research Training Program (RTP)

Overseas Student Health Cover: Single cover only.
