BREAK THE HATE CHALLENGE TO ATTEND ONE YOUNG WORLD SUMMIT IN MUNICH

Application Deadline: 16 June 2025

LOCATION: Germany

Hate has gone viral. From racism and xenophobia to antisemitism, anti-Muslim bigotry, misogyny, and attacks on the LGBTQI+ community—intolerance is exploding. Fuelled by algorithms, echo chambers, apathy and fear, hate speech is spreading faster, louder, and uglier than ever before. Hate is deafening us to a point where we can’t even hear each other.

While this might have become the norm, it’s not normal. It’s time to turn up the volume on empathy and break hate.

At the One Young World Summit in Montréal, we were proud to give the stage to PACT!, a new movement for radical goodness on a mission to make hate socially unacceptable. In 2025, PACT! and One Young World are coming back together to launch the Break the Hate Challenge.

This award goes to the ones who don’t flinch—who fight hate with bold ideas, loud voices, and absolutely no apologies.

ELIGIBILITY:

This opportunity is open to all young leaders (aged 18-35) who are tackling hate in their communities or countries. We’re looking for leaders who make you sit up, lean in, and pay attention — the kind who challenge the status quo not just with words, but with bold, boundary-breaking creativity. The judges from PACT! itself have short attention spans, so the more original, eye-opening, and head-turning your entry, the better. They are particularly keen to support candidates who demonstrate

Tangible Impact: Creating real change—mobilizing communities, influencing policies, changing attitudes, and saving lives.

Creative Edge: Fighting hate in creative and unexpected ways, whether through art, comedy, or public spectacle.

Relentless Courage: Never backing down, bold in the face of resistance, determined and resilient.

BENEFIT:

Three winners will:

Receive full funding to join the One Young World Summit 2025 in Munich.

Get the opportunity to present their work to leaders from 190+ countries at the Summit.

Receive £5,000 to accelerate their impact.
