The GoGettaz Agripreneur Prize Competition 2026 rewards Africa’s most innovative young food and agribusiness entrepreneurs with funding, mentorship, and global visibility. The GoGettaz Agripreneur Prize Competition is one of Africa’s leading platforms for youth-led agribusiness ventures, recognising innovative, scalable and impact-driven solutions across the food system.

ELIGIBILITY:

Any business in agrifood systems including but not limited to production, aggregation & logistics, agro-processing, digital innovations etc

All six criteria must be met at the time of submission.

Aged 18–35 on the date of submission to the competition

Hold nationality (with an official ID) from an African Union member state

Your venture is headquartered in an African Union member state

Your venture is legally registered in an AU member state (or will be registered by 28 June 2026)

You are the founder or co-founder and play an active role in its operations and leadership

No criminal record related to corruption, tax evasion, financial impropriety, or any felony

BENEFIT:

A $50,000 cash prize award for 1 male & 1 female led promising businesses. Impact awards—$60,000 total: $15,000 to each business excelling in key areas including Technology & Innovation, Nutrition & Food Security, Job Creation, Climate Resilience and Gender Equity.

CASA ÁFRICA 12TH EDITION OF PURORRELATO MICRO-STORY COMPETITION

LOCATION: Spain

Casa África launches the 12th edition of Purorrelato, its micro-story contest that aims to promote literary creation that encourages us to feel and think about Africa and to continue showing different realities that approach us to the continent, away from the stereotypes that have marked it for so long.

ELIGIBILITY:

Any person over the age of 18 can participate, with a maximum of three micro-stories per author. Only Casa África staff and winners of previous editions are excluded.

The theme is free, although the micro-stories should be related to Africa in some way. The story could take place inside or outside the continent, and its degree of relation with Africa could range from a detail to the total protagonism of the story.

In addition, the micro-stories must be original and unpublished and must not have won a prize or be pending a decision in other contests or competitions. Participants must guarantee that there are no third-party rights over the micro-stories submitted and will be responsible for any claims that may be made in this respect.

The micro-stories could be submitted in Spanish, English, French, or Portuguese, with a maximum length of 1500 characters (not words), including spaces and excluding the title.

The stories received will be assessed by a jury composed of renowned African and/or Spanish experts in African literature. The deadline for submission is 16th April 2026 at 14.00 hours (GMT +0).

Awards:

First award: 750 euros

Second award: 375 euros

Third award: 225 euros

In addition to the financial awards, Casa África may grant runners-up prizes or special mentions to authors whose texts are ranked between fourth and sixth place
