UNIVERSITY OF TWENTE SCHOLARSHIP (UTS)

The University Twente Scholarship (UTS) is a scholarship for excellent students from non-EU/EEA countries applying for a graduate programme (MSc) at the University of Twente.

ELIGIBILITY:

In order to be eligible for a the University of Twente Scholarship, you should meet all the requirements below  

Application for a UT scholarship is a procedure separate from the application for course entry at the University of Twente. Regardless of funding, you will need to gain an academic admission letter first.

You have been (provisionally) admitted to one of the qualifying UT Master programmes starting in the academic year 2026/2027 (September). Please note: After completion of your application, it may take up to 8 weeks before you receive the results.

You must have a student number.

You have not graduated from a UT (under)graduate programme;

You comply with the conditions for obtaining an entry visa in the Netherlands (if applicable);

You comply with the general English language test requirement. Academic IELTS 6.5 (or TOEFL iBT of 90) and an additional 6.0 (TOEFL iBT 20) on the subscore of speaking skills

You are not eligible for a Dutch study loan;

The University Twente Scholarship is a scholarship for excellent students. This means that you only belong to the best 5 to 10 percent of your graduation class at your home university. Self-knowledge is of the essence!

BENEFIT:

UNIVERSITY OF GRONINGEN ERIC BLEUMINK MASTER’S SCHOLARSHIP/FELLOWSHIP

The University of Groningen is pleased to offer the Eric Bleumink Fellowship scholarship. Only applicants who have received a provisional or unconditional admission offer for a master programme before February can thus be considered. In order to allow for enough time to process the application to a master programme by the Admission Office, such a master application should be completed by the applicant before the 1st of December.

Countries of Origin: Afghanistan, Angola, Bangladesh, Benin, Bhutan, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Chad, Comoros, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Kiribati, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nepal, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Somalia, Tanzania, Togo, Tuvalu, Uganda, Vanuatu, Yemen, Timor-Leste, South Sudan, Central African Republic, Zambia, Bolivia, Cape Verde, Congo, Ghana, Honduras, India, Korea, Dem. Rep., Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Morocco, Nigeria, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Algeria, Cameroon, Congo (Dem Rep.), Egypt, Iran, Ivory Coast, Jordan, Kenya, Micronesia, Nicaragua, Niger, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Samoa, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Tajikistan, Tokelau, Tunisia, Zimbabwe, Lao People’s Democratic Republic

The University of Groningen Admission Office, in consultation with the Admission Boards of its faculties, will determine which applicants will be nominated for an Eric Bleumink Fellowship scholarship.

Candidates for the Eric Bleumink Fellowship should:

Have received provisional or unconditional admission for a master’s programme before February. Only then will applicants be considered for a grant from the Eric Bleumink Fellowship (see: Master’s degree programmes )

Have excellent academic performance, preferably to be confirmed by letters of recommendation

Have excellent grades during their bachelor/undergraduate studies;

Have excellent English language proficiency, in accordance with the admission requirements of the program of choice

Be available for the whole period of the programme and be able to take part in the entire programme.

Be in good health so that health insurance in the Netherlands can be arranged.

Hold the nationality of a country appearing in Appendix 1.

Have no other means of financing the study in question

It is not possible to actively apply for an Eric Bleumink Fellowship Scholarship. Suitable candidates will be informed about a nomination.

BENEFIT:

The grant is awarded for a 1-year or 2 years Master’s degree programme.

The grant covers tuition fees, costs of international travel, subsistence, books, and health insurance. Please note that a considerable number of students apply for this scholarship each year, whereas the University can issue only a limited number of grants.
