SWISS GOVERNMENT EXCELLENCE POST-DOCTORAL SCHOLARSHIP FOR FOREIGN SCHOLARS

LOCATION: Switzerland

Each year the Swiss Confederation awards Government Excellence Scholarships to promote international exchange and research cooperation between Switzerland and over 180 other countries. Recipients are selected by the awarding body, the Federal Commission for Scholarships for Foreign Students (FCS).

ELIGIBILITY:

PhD degree achieved after 31 December 2020 and before 31 July 2024 (except: ETH Zurich: 30 June 2024). PhD degree certificate completed.

A research proposal including a timeframe.

Mandatory letter from an academic host professor (including their short CV).

Duration: Scholarship starts for the academic year 2024-25: 1 September 2024.

12 months (starting in September).

No prolongation possible.

BENEFIT:

The scholarship amounts to a monthly payment of CHF 3’500.-

The scholarship amount covers the living costs of one person only.

This scholarship is not a salary.

DATA ANALYST AT BAMBOO

LOCATION: Fully Remote

As the Data Analyst, you’ll enable us to make better decisions, faster. Working as part of a cross-functional team alongside product managers, growth marketers, customer experience support, designers, and engineers, you’ll apply your expertise to drive the future of what we build at Bamboo. The successful candidate will analyze data, clearly articulate hypotheses, run complex SQL queries to mine the wealth of data we collect, and present findings and suggestions. You will be expected to be proactive in contributing data-backed recommendations in shaping Bamboo’s products and features.

ELIGIBILITY:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Math, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business or similar qualifications.

3 to 5 years related experience, working with large and unstructured data, deploying, and implementing recommendations across the business.

Experience in querying, extracting, and transforming large data sets and leveraging data from various sources.

The ability to transform data into insights which can be presented/communicated to senior stakeholders across the business.

Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL/Python/R and visualization tools like Tableau, and familiarity with cloud-based data platforms.

Strong Excel skills, and extensive experience using Excel for analysis.

Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and experimentation.

Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Strong problem solving skills and ability to logically analyze requirements, processes, systems
