The University of York  regularly offer scholarships to students from a selection of countries in partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign. The University is offering 5 scholarships to some international students applying for a variety of postgraduate courses

ELIGIBILITY:
Open to:
 Students from China, Nigeria (Justice and Law), Pakistan, Thailand and Turkey

be a citizen of China, Nigeria, Pakistan, Thailand and Turkey 

be paying fees at the overseas fee rate (any fee assessments must be completed by 20 May 2024

have met any language condition of your offer by 20 May 2024

have a conditional or unconditional offer to study a one year postgraduate taught course at the University of York by 20 May 2024 (you don’t need to have accepted the offer). Students from Nigeria are eligible to apply if they have an offer to study one of the below courses:

LLM Law

LLM Art Law

LLM International Corporate and Commercial Law

LLM International Human Rights Law and Practice

LLM Legal and Political Theory

MA Applied Human Rights

BENEFIT:

The scholarship programme offers financial support of a minimum of £10,000 to students pursuing one-year postgraduate study in the UK. Students can apply for courses in a range of subjects, at the 72 institutions across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

UNIVERSITY OF EDINBURGH GLENMORE POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP

Application Deadline: 23:59 BST 30th May 2024.

Three scholarships are available for eligible postgraduate programmes offered by the University in the 2024-2025 academic session.

ELIGIBILITY:

The scholarships will be awarded to applicants who are accepted for admission in the 2024-2025 academic year on one of the listed eligible Human Medical programmes. The Glenmore Medical Postgraduate Scholarship would particularly welcome applications from students from Africa. 

Applicants should already have been offered a place at the University of Edinburgh and should have firmly accepted that offer or be intending to do so.

It is envisioned that successful applicants, on completion of their studies, will continue to work in countries that will benefit most from their furthered medical education. Priority will be given to those who have not had the opportunity to study at Masters level previously.

In order to gain access to the scholarship application system, applicants must have applied for admission to the University of Edinburgh.  Please note that, following the submission of an application for admission, it can take up to five working days for all system checks to be completed and for access to be granted.

BENEFIT:

The scholarship will cover full tuition fees for the duration of the programme of study.
