Awarded annually, on the recommendation of the Richard J. Van Loon Scholarship Committee to an outstanding international student from an African country. Eligible recipients will be full-time students proceeding from one year to another in any program of study at Carleton University. Consideration will be given to students in financial need. Application is required.
ELIGIBILITY:
Applicant must be a citizen of an African country
Applicant must be an international student, who is required to have a valid study permit for Canada
Applicant must be proceeding from one year to another in an academic program at Carleton University
Applicant must be enrolled full time
Applicant must be in good academic standing
Preference will be given to students in financial need
BENEFIT:
This scholarship is valued at $5,000. Two scholarships will be awarded.
For International Students who wish to enroll in the first year of a postgraduate degree without a restricted number of places taught in English listed in this call. The scholarship awarded is incompatible with any other scholarship granted by the Italian government or by Italian or foreign institutions, including those of the regional right to study (EDISU). Student beneficiaries are obliged, on their own responsibility, to inform the International Students Office if they are awarded other scholarships.
ELIGIBILITY:
To participate in the selection, candidates must meet the following requirements:
have obtained, at an institution outside the Italian system, a degree valid for access to the chosen postgraduate degree, or obtain it by the deadline for enrolment at the University of Turin;
meet the requirements for admission to the chosen course (check the admission requirements for the course of interest at apply.unito.it);
have submitted their application for a maximum of 2 (two) courses of interest on the apply.unito.it platform from 26 November 2024 to 30 January 2025;
be proficient in English at least the B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
BENEFIT:
The total amount of the scholarship is €20,000.00 gross. Any tax charges incurred by the recipient (€10,000 for each academic year).
