UAL FOUNDATION AND PRE-DEGREE INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP

This multi-year scholarship provides a tuition fee waiver for the full duration of Pre-degree and Undergraduate study.

ELIGIBILITY:

This award is granted for the full duration of the student’s pre-degree and undergraduate studies; the initial award will be made when the student commences their pre-degree study and will continue to be applied automatically when a student progresses from pre-degree to BA-level study, providing the student successfully completes each year.

Please note, that once accepted, if your fee status changes between pre-degree and undergraduate study, you will no longer be eligible for this scholarship.

Criteria 1: You must hold an offer to study a full-time (in-person) Foundation or Pre-degree course starting in 2025/26.

Criteria 2: You need to qualify for the Overseas category of tuition fee status.

Criteria 3: You have achieved, or are predicted to achieve, good grades in your High School qualifications equivalent to minimum: 112 UCAS tariff points/ A Levels at BBC/ IB diploma with 32 points.

Recognised international qualifications equivalent to high school completion are also accepted. To check your eligibility, please visit Ecctis or the UCAS tariff calculator.

You will need to provide your transcripts as proof of your qualification.

If you have not yet received your results, you will need to provide evidence of your predicted grade as part of your application.

Criteria 4: You must provide a personal statement as part of your scholarship application which responds to the following questions (maximum 350 words per question):

Describe your background and your academic strengths.

Describe how receiving a scholarship would make a difference to you and your future Pre-degree and Undergraduate studies at UAL.

Tell us how you intend to use the qualification you will be gaining to support your future plans.

Confirm any other sources of funding you have, or have applied for, to meet the cost of your studies in the UK.

Once you’ve received an offer to study at UAL, the ‘my finance and funding’ tab on your applicant portal will be updated to include application forms for scholarships you may be eligible for.

UNIVERSITY OF SYDNEY RESEARCH TRAINING PROGRAM (RTP) FEE OFFSET

Application Deadline for Research Period 1 and 2, 2026: 12 September 2025

LOCATION: Australia

The Research Training Program (RTP) fee offset scholarships financially support domestic and international postgraduate research students. Those awarded with a RTP Stipend Scholarship will automatically be awarded this scholarship

ELIGIBILITY:

Applicants must be international students at the time of award.

Research Training Program (RTP) Tuition Fee Offset International Scholarship (‘the Scholarship’) holders are expected to enroll in a full-time postgraduate research degree. A part-time RTP Stipend Scholarship* may be approved where the University is satisfied that there are special circumstances beyond the student’s control (for example medical conditions, financial hardship, carer’s responsibilities).

A part-time scholarship may have tax implications, and students should seek tax advice from a registered tax agent. International students will only receive approval to study part-time if it is permitted under their visa.

Applicants must apply to be considered for RTP Scholarships at the time of their application for admission to their HDR Course and must submit the required supporting material in the manner specified on the Scholarships Office website. Applicants who have already commenced their HDR candidature must apply by completing the application form available on the Scholarships Office website.

RTP Tuition Fee Offset may be provided for the duration of an approved industry placement, research internship or professional practice activity (as stated in Clause 33 of this document) if:

The recipient already holds, and remains eligible for, an RTP Stipend.

No other income is received from these activities; and

The maximum duration of the RTP Tuition Fee Offset has not been reached.

To be considered for an RTP scholarship and equivalent University scholarships, you must: Apply for admission and submit all required documentation for admission to a higher degree by research through Sydney Courses by the deadlines outlined in the Application and Award Timeline tables below, and

Submit the scholarship application form by the deadlines outlined in the Application and Award Timeline tables below.
