LANCASTER UNIVERSITY – GREAT SCHOLARSHIPS 2025: KENYA, GHANA, NIGERIA AND PAKISTAN

Lancaster University is offering GREAT Scholarships for the 2025-26 academic year. These scholarships are available for all taught master’s programmes excluding MBA programmes and postgraduate research.

ELIGIBILITY:

Applicants must be resident and passport holders of Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria and Pakistan and assessed as international for fees purpose

For October 2025 entry, applicants must have applied, accepted a place and met all the conditions of their offer by 31 May 2025

Applicants must not be in receipt of any other source of funding from an external funding body

The GREAT scholarship can be combined with other scholarships offered by Lancaster University

Successful applicants are expected to:

Be active in the field with work experience or with a proven interest in the proposed subject area

Be willing to embody the UK Higher Education experience, by attending lectures and tutorials and engaging with extra-curricular activities, and act as an ambassador for UK Higher Education, by promoting the value of studying at a UK HEI

Be willing to establish an engagement with the UK as a scholar, through personal and academic fulfilment

Represent the high standards of the GREAT brand by becoming an advocate for scholarships

Be willing to attend a networking event of all UK-based GREAT scholars, to discuss experiences and capture perceptions of studying in the UK

You will be automatically considered for this funding when you apply

BENEFIT:

The scholarship programme offers financial support of £10,000 to students pursuing one-year postgraduate study in the UK.

UNIVERSITY OF YORK GLOBAL IMPACT MASTERS SCHOLARSHIP

LOCATION: United Kingdom

York is offering scholarships to international postgraduate students to help them excel. The scholarships are awarded to international students to support them in achieving their goals at the University of York. 

All eligible postgraduate taught students holding an offer at York will receive this scholarship. There is no need to formally apply for the scholarship.

ELIGIBILITY:

Open to students from India, Pakistan, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Nigeria, Nepal, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Brazil, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

To be eligible for a York Global Impact Masters Scholarship, you must:

have a conditional or unconditional offer to study at the University of York by 31 August 2025

be paying fees at the overseas fee rate (any fee assessments must be completed by 31 August 2025) 

intend to study a full-time postgraduate taught course.

You will not be eligible if:

You hold a 100% tuition fee scholarship or are fully sponsored.

Students on the following pathways are not eligible for these scholarships:

Hull York Medical School

MSc Nursing (Mental Health) and MSc Nursing (Adult)

International Pathway College

Distance and online learning courses

Part-time courses

Kaplan International College London

MA Public Policy (Mundus MAPP)

Postgraduate Research courses

All eligible postgraduate-taught students holding an offer at York will receive this scholarship.

York Global Impact Masters Scholarships may be combined with University of York departmental scholarships as long as this does not exceed 100% of your tuition fees.

York Global Impact Masters Scholarships may be combined with external funding as long as this does not exceed 100% of your tuition fees.

The university reserves the right to withdraw the scholarship offer to new applicants and offer holders at any time, so early application is advised.
