The SAHRI Fellowship programme empowers a new generation of skilled researchers to address critical gaps in health research and innovation in sub-Saharan Africa.

The sub-Saharan Africa Health Research and Innovation Fellowship (SAHRI Fellowship) programme is an exceptional three-year training trajectory designed to empower 12 talented mid-career biomedical and clinical researchers from sub-Saharan Africa (sSA) to become leaders in biomedical innovation and clinical research, tackling the urgent challenges of infectious disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and control across the region.

ELIGIBILITY:

They are looking for promising mid-career clinical or biomedical scientists from sub-Saharan Africa (sSA) with strong potential to become future leaders in clinical research and biomedical innovation to address infectious diseases.

Applicants must be a national of a sSA country and hold a valid passport for international travel.

Applicants must hold a university degree equivalent to a Master’s in the European Union (EU) and meet all admission requirements for the Master of Science in Tropical Medicine.

Applicants must demonstrate interest in infectious disease research aligned with EDCTP Strategic Research Agenda priorities. Previous research experience or publications are an advantage.

Proof of institutional support and commitment to allow a leave of absence is required.

Applicants must have a clear vision of how the fellowship will be used to advance health research in Africa, a demonstrated commitment to building research capacity in their home institution or country, and an interest in biomedical innovation and entrepreneurship.

BENEFIT:

The SAHRI Fellowship provides full financial support for the Master in Tropical Medicine programme and all subsequent phases. Coverage includes:

UNIVERSITY OF AUCKLAND INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MASTERS SCHOLARSHIP

The main purpose of the Scholarship is to attract new international students to the Business Masters programmes offered by the University of Auckland Business School, enabling them to gain the skills and knowledge required to launch a business career. A key objective is to enhance the diversity of the class profile.

ELIGIBILITY:

To be eligible for Scholarship consideration, an applicant must be:

A new international student, and enrolled, or enrolling, full-time in a Master of Applied Finance (MAppFin), a Master of Business Analytics (MBusAn), a Master of International Business (MIntBus), a Master of Management (MMgt), a Master of Marketing (MMktg),or a Master of Professional Accounting (MProfAcctg) degree at the University of Auckland Business School. Students who have commenced study in the programme, or undertaken any prior study at Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland, are not eligible for consideration. A grade point average (GPA) or grade point equivalent (GPE) of at least 6.00 is required for Scholarship consideration.

The Scholarship will be awarded by the University of Auckland Council on the recommendation of a Selection Committee comprising the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics (or nominee), the Director of the Graduate School of Management (or nominee), and the Associate Dean Professional Programmes (or nominee).

The Scholarship must be taken up in the quarter for which it has been awarded; the Scholarship may not be deferred. The Scholarship will be paid as a contribution towards compulsory fees each quarter

To be paid the Scholarship, awardees must be enrolled full-time in either a MAppFin, a MBusAn, a MIntBus, a MMgt, a MMktg, or a MProfAcctg programme. To continue to hold the Scholarship, the awardee must maintain a GPA of 5.00 (equivalent to a B average) in each quarter of study.

BENEFIT:

Scholarships will be awarded biannually and will be of the value of up to $24,000 each, paid as a contribution towards compulsory fees
