MCMASTER UNIVERSITY AWARD OF EXCELLENCE

The McMaster University Award of Excellence is a prestigious award and is presented to a student who exemplifies the highest standards of academic and personal achievement. 

ELIGIBILITY:

The recipient will:

Have a strong history of academic excellence

Demonstrate a commitment to community excellence

Show great potential as a student scholar at McMaster University

Exemplify McMaster University’s values of excellence, engagement, and personal growth.

Eligible faculties: Business, Engineering, Humanities, Science and Social Sciences

Renewable each year in Level 2-4 for a total of four years. Students are required to be enrolled in the faculty to which they were originally admitted, maintain full-time enrollment status, and continue to pay international student tuition fees

Applicants must apply through AwardSpring. McMaster English Language Development (MELD) applicants must apply through the McMaster University Award of Excellence Form for MELD.

Application opens: November 27th, 2025

Application deadline: February 19, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

Award amounts are determined by the faculty and are based on the student’s enrolled course load as required by their program. The final value will be confirmed following enrollment.

Award value: Up to $200,000 over four years.

ANDERS WALL’S MASTER’S SCHOLARSHIP FOR STUDIES AT UPPSALA UNIVERSITY

Application Deadline: The application for scholarships for students starting a programme in autumn 2026 is open from 16 January to 2 February 2026.

LOCATION: Sweden

The Anders Wall Scholarship is supported by contributions from The Beijer Foundation and Uppsala University. Anders Wall, Chairman of the Beijer Foundation, is a Swedish entrepreneur and businessman. Since its launch in 2012, the scholarship has supported students from various countries and is currently available to students from African nations.

ELIGIBILITY:

Open to: Citizens of a country in Africa.

Level of study: Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes.

You must be a citizen of a country in Africa.

You must demonstrate academic talent and show interest in being in an educational environment.

You can only be awarded an Anders Wall Scholarship for a degree programme at Uppsala University chosen as first priority (the programme which you have ranked the highest of the programmes you can choose at University Admissions).

You must have applied for the Bachelor’s or Master’s programme before the University Admissions deadline.

You must meet the entry requirements for the programme you applied to. The application fee and your complete supporting documents must be received by University Admissions before the deadline.

BENEFIT:

This scholarship covers the full tuition fee for an international Bachelor’s or Master’s programme at Uppsala University. Please note that it does not cover living expenses.
