ELIGIBILITY:

Prerequisite: Candidates from low- and middle-income countries who have completed an academic degree (240 ECTS/4 years) with far above average results (upper third) and at least two years of related professional experience after the first degree (Bachelor) at the time of application are eligible for a DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) scholarship. The applicant’s last academic degree must be less than six years old at the time of application.

Scholarship Requirements: DAAD EPOS scholarship recipients are enrolled at Charité – Universitätsemedizin Berlin (host institution) in the postgraduate MSc International Health (MScIH). They begin the scholarship with a German language course in July and then start the MScIH with the Core Course (September to December). The Advanced Modules (20 ECTS) follow from January to April in Berlin. Up to 10 of the 20 ECTS in advanced modules can be completed at our partner universities in Heidelberg (Germany) or Bergen (Norway) during the same time period. The final 4 months of the scholarship (May to August) are spent in Cuernavaca, Mexico, where scholars complete their Master Thesis at the National Institute of Public Health. DAAD EPOS scholarship recipients must complete the MScIH in the 12 month fast track option. The scholarship ends at the end of August, at which time scholarship holders return to their home country.
