IMMERSE EDUCATION ESSAY COMPETITION

Take part in the Immerse Education Essay Competition for your chance to win a full or partial scholarship to our university and career preparation programmes

ELIGIBILITY:

The Immerse Education Essay Competition provides the opportunity for students aged 13-18 to submit essay responses to a question of their choice relating to a subject of interest. There are over twenty questions to choose from which can be found in our full Essay Competition Guide. 10 winners will receive a 100% scholarship to study with us at a world-leading university of their choosing. Outstanding runners-up also receive partial scholarships.

The Immerse Education Essay Competition is open to students worldwide of all nationalities. You must be aged between 13-18 during your chosen programme.

BENEFIT:

10 winners will receive a 100% scholarship. Take a look at previous essay competition winners.

Runners Up will be awarded partial scholarships of up to 50% to study their chosen subject with Immerse. The number of runners-up will be determined by the number of entries received and the quality of the work submitted. The next category of entrants who are not runner-ups receive partial scholarships worth up to 20%

RESTLESS DEVELOPMENT: CALL FOR ENTRIES: THE SAFE PHOTOGRAPHY PROJECT

LOCATION: Colombia

Restless Development is looking for 12 young photographers to join the movement to end violence against children – positively disrupting the point of view on an issue affecting half the world’s girls and boys. They will be partnering with Conference co-hosts the World Health Organization, government of Colombia, government of Sweden, UNICEF and UN Special Representative on ending violence, to connect Ministers with young people’s realities.

With the theme: Through ‘Safe’ – a high-profile immersive photo exhibition – we will tell the story of what feeling safe means to young people around the world. 

ELIGIBILITY:

They are launching a call to find 12 young creatives (aged 18-24), from all regions of the world, who will each produce a photo-essay telling the story of what “safe” feels like to them and/or other children and young people in their community. 

Of the photographs captured by each creative, one striking ‘hero’ image will be featured in the final exhibition, taking centre stage at the historic Ministerial, with the full photo-essay published online through a global media outlet.

BENEFIT:

A stipend of $1250 as a contribution to your time and costs to be involved in this project.

Expert training, coaching and one-to-one support throughout the project.

One of your images to be featured in the global Ministerial Conference in November.

Your final photo-essay will be published online and may feature in national or global publications.
