YOUTH IN TOURISM INNOVATION CHALLENGE

This is an exclusive platform being provided to innovative African youth in travel and tourism looking for funding, partnership and mentorship opportunities to present their projects to the global market place in order to find the required support for their programmes.

ELIGIBILITY:

The vision, uniqueness, authenticity and rationale.

Evidence of innovation in travel & tourism or related industry challenge being solved in Africa – COVID 19 era and into the future (such as technological, social entrepreneurship, educational, youth empowerment and job creation, environmental sustainability, community development, etc.)

The sustainability of the impact of the project on travel and tourism, local communities and/or related industries.

Timelines for the project.

The kind of support required – funding, investors, mentorship, partnerships, etc.

Conclusion/additional, but relevant information of not more than 500 words.

Competitor required to show a demo/Minimum Viable Product (MVP) (5 min) during the presentation.

Age limit – 35 years.

BENEFIT:

$1000.00 grant seed for the winner.

$500.00 grant seed for 1st & 2nd runner up.

Complimentary enrolment for short courses provided by UNWTO.

THE CHILDNET FILM INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION

Application Deadline: 5pm on the 22 April 2024

LOCATION: United Kingdom

Do you know any young people aged 7-18 who are passionate about film? Can they tell a good story, create animation or inspire positive change? Then you are invited to support the young people you work with to make a short film about online safety!

ELIGIBILITY:

Age Category: 7-11 years – Primary School; 11-18 years – Secondary School

Entries can come from all over the world

Schools can enter more than one film so long as the participating children for each group are different.

Each group can be up to 8 people, including those behind the scene

Film entries must be submitted by the teacher or educator who is supervising the project. Their role is to also oversee the making of the film and to ensure it keeps to the terms and conditions of the competition

BENEFIT:

The winning film will receive a prize to purchase filmmaking equipment for their school.
