HEINRICH BOLL FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS FOR GRADUATE & PHD STUDY IN GERMANY

LOCATION: Germany

The Heinrich Böll Foundation’s scholarship program awards study and doctoral scholarships to German and foreign students and doctoral candidates.

ELIGIBILITY:

The following can apply until March 1, 2025:

Domestic students (Germans, nationals of German education) in their first degree; applications are possible before the first semester up to and including the 3rd semester; for the application deadline of March 1, 2025, applications are possible up to and including the 4th semester;

Students from Germany (Germans, nationals with educational backgrounds) for a Master’s degree; applications must be submitted six months before the start of the course;

Refugees who wish to begin or continue their undergraduate or master’s degree (or diploma or state examination) studies in Germany can apply regardless of their semester of study;

International students (“foreign students”) before starting their Master’s degree or in their main course of study (diploma/state examination) in Germany; application possible before starting their Master’s degree/before starting their main course of study.

Students from all subjects at all state-recognized universities can apply.

Those entitled to or receiving BAföG have priority; students from Germany should indicate with their application whether they are already receiving BAföG.

The online application portal opens on January 15, 2025 and closes on March 1, 2025.

The certificate of enrollment , or at least a confirmation of university admission, must be submitted with the application if possible or must be presented at the latest immediately before the selection interview in the 3rd selection stage.

Please only use Adobe Acrobat Reader to fill out the application form.
There is limited space on the application form. Please limit yourself to the section provided, which must be legible on paper. This also applies to the expert opinions.
Please do not wait until the last day to send in your application so that the system is not overloaded. You can send your application as soon as your documents are complete.

As soon as you have completed your application in the application portal, you will immediately receive a confirmation email. After this, you will no longer be able to log in to the portal.

The Heinrich Böll Foundation supports young people through scholarship funding (generally including a maintenance grant, study and research grant, foreign study grant, mobility allowance, family allowance, and other categories). In addition, we promote the scholarship recipients in their personal development, help them to gain cross-disciplinary qualifications and enhance their key competences, encourage political debate and attention to social issues, and nurture interdisciplinary dialogue.

HANZE MUSIC SCHOLARSHIP

LOCATION: Netherlands

The Hanze Scholarship programme offers tailormade scholarships to students of the Prince Claus Conservatoire Campus from outside the European Economic Area (EEA).The scholarship is a contribution towards to costs of living in the Netherlands and is awarded for one year.

ELIGIBILITY:

Your nationality is non-EEA.

You are admitted to one or enrolled in one of the bachelor or master programmes of the Prince Claus Conservatoire.

Further practical information concerning acceptance of the scholarship, procedure and payment will be sent to you after selection.

BENEFIT:

The amount of the Hanze Music Scholarship amounts to a maximum of € 5,549.

The scholarship consists of a one-time payment. Selected students will receive this at the end of November. 

The Hanze Music Scholarship is a contribution towards to costs of living and cannot be used to reduce the tuition fee.
