ERASMUS SCHOOL OF SOCIAL AND BEHAVIOURAL SCIENCES (ESSB) TRUSTFONDS SCHOLARSHIP

The Erasmus Trustfonds was founded to support research and education projects, organised by the Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) specifically. The fund hereby aims to contribute to the growth and flourishing of Erasmus University.

ELIGIBILITY:

In order to qualify for financial support under the provision of an Erasmus Trustfonds Scholarship, an applicant:

Must have registered for one of the master programmes at ESSB in Studielink as well as having submitted the application documents in the EUR Admisson Portal before April 30 in order to be considered for the scholarship.

Must be enrolled no later than September 1 of the academic year for which the scholarship is being requested.

Must have achieved excellent study results during his/her previous bachelor programme. This means an average final result of at least grade 8.0 on a Dutch grading scale of 1 to 10.

Must be able to demonstrate the reason why this scholarship will enlarge his/her opportunity to study at ESSB by including a budget plan, indicating how much money he/she expects to spend each month.

Must be qualified for the statutory tuition fee.

BENEFIT:

The student will receive €15.000 for housing, living costs, and statutory fees. The scholarship will be granted for one academic year. If the student fails to graduate in one year, the standard statutory fee will apply for the remaining study period.

ASSOCIATION OF COMMONWEALTH UNIVERSITIES (ACU) QUEEN ELIZABETH COMMONWEALTH SCHOLARSHIPS

Study for a two-year master’s degree at an ACU member university in a low- or middle-income country.

The Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships (QECS) offer a unique opportunity to study for a two-year Master’s degree in a low- or middle-income Commonwealth country.

Aimed at students who are committed to creating change in their communities, the scholarships are a life-changing opportunity to experience a new country and culture, to broaden horizons, and to build a global network that will last a lifetime. Applications for 2025-26 are now open.

Visit the relevant university website for more information on your chosen course using the links included below.

Complete and submit a QECS application for your chosen university/course by clicking the ‘Apply now’ button.  Once you’ve clicked apply, you’ll be directed to a log-in page. If you don’t already have a myACU account, click get ‘get started’ in the right-hand corner of the page to start your application.

Submit an application to your chosen university for admission to your chosen course.

Each year there are two opportunities to apply for QECS – cycle 1 opens in November/December and cycle 2 opens in March/April. You only need to submit one application, but you are welcome to apply more than once if there is another country you are interested in studying in.
