AMERICAN UNIVERSTITY OF BEIRUT MASTERCARD FOUNDATION SCHOLARS PROGRAM

The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program provides full scholarships in partnership with the American University of Beirut (AUB). The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program ​aims to prepare young people to be agents of change in their communities, countries, and regions. Scholars attend a series of workshops, courses, and fieldwork in addition to the courses for their degrees.

ELIGIBILITY:

On-campus masters’ scholarships are open to: Citizens of countries on the African Continent, Citizens of Lebanon, Refugees living in Lebanon or on the African Continent

Good academic standing in the previous degree

Talent that exceeds financial resources​

Commitment to giving back to the community, country, and region

Leadership skills

Commitment to attend all the additional learning experiences and workshops required by the Scholars Program

35 years or younger

Demonstration of Readiness for University Studies in English (RUSE) by April 21, 2024.

SENSS ESRC POSTGRADUATE STUDENTSHIPS IN THE SOCIAL SCIENCES

LOCATION: United Kingdom

University ofEast Anglia is  delighted to offer 1+3 (Masters and PhD) studentships in the social sciences through the SeNSS ESRC Doctoral Training Partnership. Please note that SeNSS-funded 1+3 students can only undertake Masters courses currently approved by SeNSS.

ELIGIBILITY:

Nationality: UK Fees and International Fees paying students

Number Available Per Year: SeNSS award over 40 studentships each year.

Course: Postgraduate Taught and Postgraduate Research SeNSS Eligible Masters courses and PhDs

​SeNSS studentship holders would be expected to give up any other funding

Applications for a place to study for a PhD (and Master’s, if required) must be submitted to UEA using the University of East Anglia online application form by Wednesday 24 January 2024.

A separate application to SENSS for studentship funding must be made by midday on Friday 9 February 2024 via the SENSS online application platformYour supervisor’s supporting statement must also be completed and submitted by this deadline.

To apply, you will need a PhD research proposal and the support of a UEA PhD supervisor. Assistance with this is available through the support team or UEA SeNSS pathway leads. Early contact with supervisors is encouraged so that there is plenty of time to perfect the research proposal ahead of the winter application deadlines. Please note that SeNSS-funded 1+3 students can only undertake Masters courses currently approved by SeNSS.

BENEFIT:

These Economic and Social Research Council studentships will cover your tuition fees and pay you a stipend, as well as access to funds to support your proposed research and training. Additional funds are available for students needing additional support with their studies because of a disability or long-term health condition.
