FRANCE EXCELLENCE EIFFEL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The Eiffel Scholarship Program was established by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs to help French institutions of higher education attract top international students to their master’s and doctoral programs. Its purpose is to train future foreign decision-makers in the private and public spheres in priority areas of study. It gives opportunity to the future foreign decision-makers of the private and public sectors, in priority areas of study, and encourages applicants up to 25 years old from developing countries at master’s level, and applicants up to 30 years old from developing and industrialized countries at PhD level.

ELIGIBILITY:

This prestigious program recognizes international students nominated by a French institution.

Contact the Campus France office in your country of origin or the Cooperation and Culture Office of the French Embassy; both can advise you about your study plans.


Contact the French educational institution or research organization by visiting its website or by emailing or telephoning its office of international relations to learn how to apply for admission
(including the date by which your application must be received). Inform them of your wish to be considered for an Eiffel scholarship.


It is your responsibility to choose the school or university that best suits your plans to study or conduct research in France.


All French institutions of higher education can nominate candidates for Eiffel scholarships.

The educational institution accepts and supports your application for the Eiffel scholarship. The institution files your application online using Campus France’s dedicated website. Applications submitted directly by students or by institutions outside France will not be accepted.

Eiffel Programme rules – 2024 Session

BENEFIT:

Master level:
Eiffel scholarship recipients receive a monthly allowance of €1,181 in addition to certain direct services, notably international airfare, domestic travel support, insurance, assistance in seeking housing, and cultural activities.


Doctoral level:
Eiffel scholarship recipients receive a monthly allowance of €1,700 in addition to certain direct services, notably international airfare, domestic travel support, insurance, assistance in seeking housing, and cultural activities.

WALTERS KUNDERT FELLOWSHIP

LOCATION: England

Established in 2017, the Walters Kundert Fellowship is supported through a generous donation by the Walters Kundert Charitable Trust. The Fellowship was set up to encourage applicants from across the spectrum of geographical research to enhance the understanding and well-being of the planet’s Arctic and high mountain environments through research. The Walters Kundert Charitable Trust also supports postgraduate grants through the RGS-IBG Postgraduate Research Awards.

ELIGIBILITY:

Applications are open to post-PhD researchers affiliated with a UK university or research institute, or Fellows and members of the Society who are employed outside the UK.

BENEFIT:

The Walters Kundert Fellowship offers awards of £10,000 annually to support field research in physical geography within Arctic and/or high mountain environments, with preference for field studies that advance the understanding of environmental change past or present.
