GRIFFITH UNIVERSITY VICE CHANCELLOR’S INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Vice Chancellor’s International Scholarship rewards a number of exceptional international students commencing in undergraduate and postgraduate coursework degree programs at Griffith University each year.

ELIGIBILITY:

To be eligible to apply, you must:

Be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand.

Be a new, commencing student who has received an offer to study by the scholarship application closing date.

Have a minimum GPA in previous studies of 6.0 or above on a 7-point scale or equivalent.

Satisfy all academic and English language entry requirements for your chosen undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program.

Be a full-time student starting in 2025 or 2026.

HDR (PHD) SCHOLARSHIP – ION-ATOM COLLISION DATA FOR FUSION ENERGY, HADRON THERAPY AND ASTROPHYSICS AT CURTIN UNIVERSITY

LOCATION: Australia

This scholarship is funded by an ARC Discovery Project in conjunction with support from Curtin University. The purpose of the scholarship is to support a PhD student to carry out research in quantum collision theory. Currently, there is an urgent demand for accurate data on ion-beam collisions with atomic and molecular targets for the development and maintenance of fusion reactors, treatment planning in hadron therapy, and modelling astrophysical phenomena.

Eligible courses: Any HDR student wishing to obtain a PhD in the field of physics.

The successful candidate must meet the minimum academic entry requirement for admission into the Doctor of Philosophy program https://research.curtin.edu.au/postgraduate/ including the English proficiency levels set by Curtin University (e.g., IELTS, Overall 6.5, Speaking 6.0, Writing 6.0, Reading 6.0 and Listening 6.0). Candidates should have a master’s or bachelor’s (Honors) degree in physics. Students with previous research experience and publications in physics or quantum chemistry are encouraged to apply.

Recipients must complete their milestone 1 within 6 months of enrollment and remain enrolled on a full-time basis for the duration of the scholarship.
