BRITISH COUNCIL INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATION GRANTS

The International Collaboration Grants are now open for the second time. This £1 million grants programme supports the creation of new cultural collaborations between UK artists, arts professionals and organisations and their peers worldwide. The International Collaboration Grants encourage new bilateral and multilateral partnerships, providing funding to enable organisations to make and develop creative artwork with their international peers, and help individual artists find innovative ways of collaborating.  

ELIGIBILITY:

Applications must demonstrate genuine international collaboration and deliver explicit benefit to participating UK artists and organisations and their international partners. Projects can address any theme and we ask applicants to share their approach to diversity, inclusion and environmental sustainability in the delivery of their project. 

Each project should include at least one UK-based organisation and one organisation based in the countries listed below as part of the partnership: Albania, Algeria, Argentina, Bangladesh, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Brazil, Mainland China, Colombia, Cuba, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kosovo, Lebanon, Libya, Malaysia, Montenegro, Mexico, Morocco, Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria, North Macedonia, Occupied Palestinian Territories, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Serbia, Senegal, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Syria, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, Uganda, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Venezuela, Vietnam, Yemen and Zimbabwe.

BENEFIT:

Available grants range between £25,000 and £75,000 and are now open for application.

TOYIN F. SANNI FOUNDATION ESSAY COMPETITION

LOCATION: Nigeria

The TFS Foundation is hosting an essay contest with the aim of providing financial support to deserving students for their university fees. 

Participants are invited to engage with one of the following thought-provoking essay topics:

Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Concerns: Identify an ESG-related issue in your local community. Discuss its significance and propose solutions.

Nigeria’s Economic Challenges: Analyse recent events impacting Nigeria’s economy, their effects, and suggest potential remedies.

Inclusive Finance and Its Impact: Define inclusive finance and explore how a finance and investment group like Emerging Africa Capital can significantly contribute to this area.

ELIGIBILITY:

Eligibility: You must be a senior secondary school student at the time of submission.

Essay Length: Your essay should not exceed 1000 words.

Prize Allocation: Monetary awards will be managed by Emerging Dreams Trust and disbursed based on your academic progression.

Originality Check: All essays will be scrutinised for AI/plagiarism, with plagiarised content leading to disqualification.

Submission Format: Submit through a Google Form, including required personal details and your essay in PDF format.

Language and Formatting: Essays must be in English, formatted in Century Gothic font size 11, double line spacing, and justified alignment.

Filename Format: Use the format FirstName-LastName-Question-Number.pdf (e.g., Sarah-Ayomide-1.pdf).

Deadline: Submit your essay by March 31st. Late entries will not be considered.

Evaluation Criteria: Essays will be judged on originality, creativity, coherence, grammar, and adherence to the prompt or theme.

Judging Decisions: The decisions of the organization are final.

The competition will celebrate a total of nine winners, three in each category:

Winner: N1,500,000

1st Runner-Up: N1,000,000

2nd Runner-Up: N500,000
