OXFORD-PERSHING SQUARE GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS

The Oxford-Pershing Square Graduate Scholarships provide up to five full awards covering both the Master’s and the MBA degrees. Scholars can pursue any of the 1+1 MBA partnering programmes and combine it with our MBA. Recipients are exceptional individuals who can demonstrate the potential and commitment to find scalable and sustainable solutions to world-scale social challenges.

ELIGIBILITY:

You will be considered in order of priority for the scholarship:

New applicants to the Oxford 1+1 MBA programme.

You must be admitted both to a 1+1 MBA partnering programme and to the MBA before being considered for the scholarship (applicants on the waiting list will not be considered).

Applicants admitted to both a full-time one-year master’s course that is not currently part of the official list of 1+1 MBA partnering programmes, and to the MBA (as a separate application).

Current master’s students who have been admitted to the MBA and were not considered for the scholarship in the previous year.

Academic achievement demonstrated through degree results, GMAT or GRE score, previous university prizes and awards, and other academic achievements.

Leadership potential demonstrated through experience and motivation.

Strong personal character, integrity, and commitment.

Intention to focus on addressing world-scale social challenges in your career, either in an existing organisation or through the development of a new enterprise.

Ability to envision how to achieve scalable and sustainable solutions to these challenges.

Articulated vision on how the Oxford 1+1 MBA will allow you to fulfil your objectives.

You are advised to highlight these attributes in your 1+1 MBA application, scholarship essay and interview answers. 

You must submit a complete application for both courses and upload the scholarship essay in the ‘Funding’ section of the 1+1 MBA programme application by the deadline to be considered. 

You must apply by 6 January 2025 for the 1+1 MBA and for your chosen Master’s programme by its own deadline, either in December or January. Application deadlines for 1+1 MBA partner programmes can be found on the relevant course page on the Graduate Admissions website.

BENEFIT:

Course fees for both the Master’s degree and MBA programme, plus a grant for living costs of at least £19,237 per year for both years of study.

JIM LEECH MASTERCARD FOUNDATION FELLOWSHIP ON ENTREPRENEURSHIP

LOCATION: Canada

The Jim Leech Mastercard Foundation Fellowship on Entrepreneurship gives African students and recent graduates the opportunity to access training, resources, financial support, and a network of mentors to develop their entrepreneurial skills and start building their own venture. 

ELIGIBILITY:

The program accepts students and recent graduates from all academic disciplines, and from any African post-secondary institution. Whether you are already working on a business or looking to start something new, they can help you.

The program is looking for participants who are committed to developing their entrepreneurial mindset and taking advantage of the resources provided to develop their own enterprise. The program is delivered virtually and can be completed at any pace, however, the most committed participants will commit at least 10 hours per week. In order to progress through the program phases, participants will submit assignments online, adhering to strict deadlines.

The program content is delivered in English.

Mentorship may be offered in English and French. Assignments and pitches must be completed in English. Prospective fellows who are unable to speak or write English are still encouraged to apply and form teams with someone who can fulfill all the requirements of the program in English.

Prospective fellows may also work with their local university to come up with a strategy to make sure they are able to access university resources that will help them navigate the challenge related to language ability.

Financial Support and Opportunities:

Up to 60 Fellows will be selected in the final phase to receive a stipend of $500 CAD

Opportunities to pitch for prizes of up to $15,000 CAD in the pitch competition at the end of the program

Opportunities to travel to the Dunin-Deshpande Queen’s Innovation Centre to build lasting connections that will help you further your business venture
