WEBSTER VIENNA PRIVATE UNIVERSITY NEW STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS

The Webster Vienna Private University encourages all newly admitted bachelor’s and master’s degree students with exceptional academic achievement and proven financial need to apply for a WVPU New Student Scholarship. Applicants must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on the American 4.0 scale and advanced or native-level proficiency in English. Up to 20 new students may receive different scholarship awards per year.

ELIGIBILITY:

Only students admitted to full bachelor’s or master’s degree programs (NOT certificate and English preparation programs) may apply for scholarships.  Please first apply to one of our degree programs through our Admissions Office. Once you are admitted, you can apply and be considered for a scholarship.

The scholarship may be renewed for the full duration of the academic program (max. four years for undergraduate; max. two years for graduate) if the following scholarship conditions are met:

Scholarship Renewal Conditions: The scholarship recipient must be enrolled full-time (24 U.S. credits or 48 ECTS per year undergraduate, 12 U.S. credits or 30 ECTS per year graduate) and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 each semester to continue until the end of the program.

An original essay in English (1,000 to 1,200 words) on one of the two topics provided below:

Many believe that they learn from their mistakes. In your essay, describe a situation or experience where you learned from failure. Explain the situation, what actions you took, and how you learned from this experience.

Please note that we offer partial scholarships only, and the remaining tuition fee must be paid by the recipient.

FLEMISH MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING MASTER MIND SCHOLARSHIP

LOCATION: Belgium

The Flemish Ministry of Education and Training awards scholarships for master’s programmes in Flanders and Brussels to outstanding students from around the world.  The call for the academic year 2026-2027 is now open.

ELIGIBILITY:

All nationalities can apply, with the exception of Russian nationals (see news item for more information).

The student applies to take up a master’s degree programme at a Flemish higher education institution. This master’s degree may consist of one or two academic years but must meet the threshold of 60 ECTS per academic year.

A list of all English-taught master’s programmes in Flanders can be found on the button below. Please double-check if your desired host institution participates in the Master Mind scholarship.

The applicant should have a high standard of academic performance and/or potential as proven by a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.5 out of 4.0. The GPA will be calculated on the last obtained bachelor’s or master’s degree. The tool used for the calculation of the GPA is Scholaro.

The student has a good knowledge of the English language and can provide proof thereof that is no older than 3 years at the time of application processing by the higher education institution.

The following are accepted:

An overall minimum band score of 7.0 on the IELTS test or the IELTS Indicator:

A minimum total score of 94 on a TOEFL test or TOEFL iBT;

A C1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference;

A similar result in another official language test (recognized by the host institution).

The previous degree (which the student has used to enroll in the master programme) cannot have been obtained at a Flemish higher education institution. International students who have previously been enrolled in a Flemish higher education institution on credit mobility (such as Erasmus+) are still eligible for a Master Mind Scholarship.

BENEFIT:

A Master Mind Scholarship includes a grant of €10,225 and a tuition fee waiver per academic year.
