Application Deadline: Friday, 19th April.

LOCATION: Colombia

Restless Development is looking for 12 young photographers to join the movement to end violence against children – positively disrupting the point of view on an issue affecting half the world’s girls and boys. They will be partnering with Conference co-hosts the World Health Organization, government of Colombia, government of Sweden, UNICEF and UN Special Representative on ending violence, to connect Ministers with young people’s realities.

With the theme: Through ‘Safe’ – a high-profile immersive photo exhibition – we will tell the story of what feeling safe means to young people around the world.

ELIGIBILITY:

They are launching a call to find 12 young creatives (aged 18-24), from all regions of the world, who will each produce a photo-essay telling the story of what “safe” feels like to them and/or other children and young people in their community.

Of the photographs captured by each creative, one striking ‘hero’ image will be featured in the final exhibition, taking centre stage at the historic Ministerial, with the full photo-essay published online through a global media outlet.

submit your 300 word pitch for the photo-essay
