MALAYSIAN TECHNICAL COOPERATION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME FOR DEVELOPING COUNTRIES

The MTCP Scholarship is sponsored by the Malaysian government and dedicated to international students from developing countries to pursue their postgraduate studies in Malaysia, whilst at the same time acquire the necessary knowledge and skills that could contribute to the development of their country. The duration of the award is between 24 to 36 months for Master’s Degree Programme.

ELIGIBILITY:

International students from the MTCP recipient countries.

Not more than 45 years old on the date of application.

Minimum Second Class Upper (Honours) / CGPA 3.50 at undergraduate level.

English language requirements:

IELTS overall score of 6.0 and above; or

TOEFL iBT total score of 60 and above; or

Obtained a previous degree(s) with English used as the medium of instruction.

BENEFIT:

This Scholarship covers tuition fees and other allowances worth RM3,500 per month.

PHD STUDENTSHIP AT NOTTINGHAM UNIVERSITY BUSINESS SCHOOL

Nottingham University is looking to recruit two high calibre and enthusiastic PhD researchers who will undertake original research at Nottingham University Business School. To this end, they have made available two full scholarships, which are aimed at one international and one home PhD students.

ELIGIBILITY:

Applicants should have:

A 2.1 or higher honours degree in a relevant discipline in social sciences, and

A master’s degree which includes a substantial research element, with a score of 65% or above in the taught modules and 65% or above in the dissertation.

Complete the online application.Your application must include a research proposal in one or more of the strategic research topic areas and should indicate the department where the research will be conducted.

In addition, please also enclose the following with your application form:

Transcripts of all your academic qualifications. If you have not completed your master’s degree yet, you should include a transcript of the marks received to date. Any offer is conditional upon achieving the required standard.

Entry onto our PhD programme is extremely competitive and, in addition to the above admissions requirements, depends on:

The quality of your research proposal. 

The fit of your research area with potential supervisors.

BENEFIT:

The international scholarship will cover tuition fees of £23,500 and a yearly stipend of £19,237, while

The home scholarship will cover tuition fees of £5,350 and a yearly stipend of £19,237.

Both these PhD scholarships are for a period of three years and are expected to commence on 1st February 2025.
